Great tire, absolutely 0 smooth-road noise, but I notice a reactionary thump over a certain type of road ripple, most likely due to the fact that the suspension was tuned for the Yokohamas that my van was designed with. I chose Michelin for their legendary safety record and I also lucked in to a tire with a long tread life. The original Avid tires had worn to a concerning tread depth at only 56 000 KM.

I replaced Goodyear tires on my wife’s Acura TLX with a set of Michelin Defender2’s. I also replaced the OE Firestone tires on my mother in law’s Jeep Compass with the Michelin Defender2 tires. My wife and Mother in law immediately told me that their vehicles ride way better, handles better, and it is more quiet in their vehicles. As for the design, I love the way Michele tires look on almost all vehicles. All I can say about the construction and materials is that the tires appear to be made well. I am 53 years old and have never had a Michelin tire let me down. So I trust Michelin enough to use their tires on my family’s vehicles. Installed the defender on our XC70 ‘04 & XC90 ‘08. So far no complaints. Balanced nicely. Good ride. Ran in heavy rain in the XC90 and liked the performance, by the way XC90 size 255/50 19 so on the wider size. I will not be running them in winter as have separate snows.

Needed new tires for my 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. They had Continental tires on them previously. The first and only tire I considered were Michelin tires so I researched SUV tires and chose the Defender 2. What a great looking tire and solid ride and feel.

Buying Michelin Tires goes back many years starting with my family. Paying a higher price for a tire is worth every cent and the warranty on the Michelin Defender 2 goes a long way on the wear and tear on the tires. The Defender 2 is a quite and smooth tire and I am very satisfied with the performance of the tire.

Great tires for both winter and all-season. I have been buying this brand for my 2 cars and every time the performance is great. My gas consumption has been good compared to when I was using the heavier Bridgestone brand. Tip: buy when they have a promo on to save even more (that is if the need is not urgent).

I chose the tires because they are Canadian made. I've only put about 10,000 km on them but I have noticed that my gas milage is better. I have a RAV4 Hybrid which in summer I was getting 5.4 l/100 km for the past 3 years. I am now getting 5.2 to 5.3 l/km. Not a big saving but I will take it. In old terms that is an improvement of 1 to 2 miles per Imperial gallon. I also feel safer with the new tires as Michelin is known for their high quality.

My first set of these tires came with the car when I bought it new. I put 55,000 miles on them before I replaced them. Back in the day, I would have driven until I had a flat, but no more. I could have put another 5 K on them, but safety first. Also the traction was a little off.

Excellent tires! I’ve been using Defenders for years and always replaced them around 30,000 km, well beyond the official warranty. What’s impressive is that the tread still looks barely worn. I highly recommend this brand—they offer outstanding value for the money. I’ve used Defenders for the past 11 years on my van, towing a 4,500 lb travel trailer every summer. Today the van has 563,095 km on it, all with Defenders—because I don’t like dealing with flat tires. Keep up the great work!

A couple of weeks ago i was stopped, checked a couple of times to see if it was clear to go ready to pull out across traffic when someone came flying out of nowhere. As soon as I saw him I hit the brakes, and he hit his. Luckily I stopped within inches of his car, I can only say how lucky I was to have such great tires on my car along with good brakes. Such a nice smooth ride, love my Defenders.
