We ordered a recliner from one of the more expensive stores, but it will not come for 6-9 months. So, knowing that my husband’s back really needed some relief, I purchased this recliner on sale. What a surprise!! It is well made, and very comfortable to sit in. As he says, it is a little “clunky” looking, but who cares? Cup holders, storage in the armrests and a small rotate able table, who could ask for more? It was meant to be given away once we receive the ordered recliner, but that’s not happening, we are keeping it.

Fantastic find! I never thought I would find and/or be able to afford Theater Chairs for my tv room. But these were affordable, comfortable, recline all the way back - if you wanted to fall asleep in them, literally only took moments to put together. and they look fantastic in our new home theater room.

This unit is very heavy; it is easy to assemble but you will need help getting it unboxed and into your home. On mine there were some lose bolts and screws inside the bottom; some of the screw heads were striped out; we tightened what we could; minus one star for that, eh? The the motors work as they should so everything A-OK, Some of my friends find this chair very comfortable and it would be fine to watch a big wall mounted TV. I find it not for me. I some times sit with the chair back at nearly 90˚ straight up with the leg rest all the way up. Not possible with this model ( Rider power theater recliner, SHF-1939 0. The back cannot even come close to straight up and the leg rest & back work together as the leg rest comes up the back reclines. They work in unison with one button and the leg rest does not come up far enough for me. I like to sit with my feet elevated. But, this chair was advertised to watch movies in not as an all around recliner. It's me not the chair I purchased it on line from SAMs Club sight unseen. I would return it if I knew how?

Material is good, easy to clean. Recline feature works well. Cup holders and storage in arm rests is great. Table attachment is ok, a little small and top is slick so that things slide off too easily. Size is perfect for me (5'4"), but might be too small for anyone tall. Overall, I'm very happy with this chair.

My husband loves this chair! It’s comfortable and has several nice extra features like the charging ports and the table. The upholstery was very slightly damaged at the back of the seat but so minor. We declined sending it back since, with 3 small kids, it will get plenty of abuse anyway. (They drive me nuts playing with the buttons.) This chair is a great value for the price and it looks pretty good. Many recliners are just so unattractive. I appreciate the more tailored look of this one.

We’ve had these two recliners for about 3 weeks now. They are quite firm, not plush at all. This firm support has greatly lessened my back pain!!!! Thank goodness for that. I love the power recline feature. Hope it holds up. The storage areas are very nice, although I can foresee “dig” marks in the future from trying to get them open. The table is nice, rotates out of the way, and can be removed with the pedestal attached and stored in the left compartment. The instructions say there is one power cord. There are two! The other one is in the zippered compartment underneath the chair. It powers to USB and AC outlets inside the right storage compartment. There is also a USB outlet located on the power recline button, but you’re likely to damage your cord getting in and out of the chair if it’s plugged in there, so I would use the outlet in the armrest. So for our 2 recliners, we have 4 power cords total to plug in. That’s kind of messy. The arm rests are positioned a bit too high for my liking, and the seat area is a bit too narrow to rest my arms at my side. There are cup holders in each armrest which are removable to clean. Nice feature. My biggest complaint is that there is absolutely no neck support. Better have a good pillow! I probably wouldn’t buy again (but I might because of the low price at the time of our purchase!) and probably wouldn’t have purchased if we could have tried them in the Sam’s club, but we were only able to shop online and they only able to be delivered to our house (no club delivery with pick-up), which the FedEx delivery guy had to struggle with since each box weighed 123#. All that said, I am so grateful that my back pain is less because of the great support.

Love the chair. Nice size, looks good and just what I wanted in terms of arm storage compartments and cup holders along with the perfect swing arm table for my tablet. However, I have some problems with the electrical element. The usb plug that works on the right arm rest gets really warm and I feel compelled to make sure that it’s disconnected before I go to bed. And any of the electric & usb plugs, inside the right arm rest don’t work at all!

Overall, I like the chair. Power recline works well and USB port is handy for charging mh devices. Chair arms and headrest areas are not padded enough for sustained sitting or sleeping. If you want to sit for a prolonged period of time or sleep in your recliner, this. chair is not for you.

Chair did not work - needs repair and disappointed This was a surprise gift for hubby. We have waited since January to get it. I unboxed it, put it together and plugged it in. Nothing! No recline since it works by electricity. We called Abyson the manufacturer. They were extremely nice. BUT then had to make appointment with All Furniture Repair and the date is way out 4 weeks and we are getting frustrated at the least having to wait until they come to repair it.

I ordered three of these chairs and two of them are fine. However, the third chair is missing the power cord. I called customer service (Abbyson, who is the manufacturer), and they sent a form asking for pictures and a description of the problem, which I answered on the 9th of January. The form indicated that it would take 5 - 7 days to resolve. Today is day 20 and I still haven't received a reply. I called again and my call when to voice mail. I have two good chairs and one that is of no use until I get the power cord.
