My generator arrived in perfect condition. I added oil and gas. I didn't read close enough the first time and missed that I had to connect the battery connection wires. Once that was done it started right up. I ran it for the recommended hour to "break-in" the engine. So far so good. I am very pleased with the construction, overall look, and design. The plastic funnel for filling the oil was a nice touch as well as supplying all the tools needed for assembly.

I purchased for powering my home when there is power outage. It seems to fit the bill, I hope not to use it until and outage, not in the awhile. Put it together in no time, hooked up battery, filled with oil provided, and gas. Started right up, and runs well as I break in the engine while not under a load. I also do construction work in areas where there is no power, it runs the equipment with no problem. Saws, compressors, lights all can be used. Light and compact so it is easy to move. construction site.

After years of inconvenient storm related power outages I got fed up and had to get a generator. My 5300 Watts Westinghouse generator was delivered in perfect condition, very easy to setup and get started. I later installed a manual transfer switch for the generator which provides power directly to my most critical circuits. The complete installation was very easy and now I am prepared for the inevitable power outages. So far I am extremely satisfied with my generator and recommend it 100%.

This is a really good generator and I am pleased with the purchase. This is our second unit and we use it for power outage. It has enough power for a freezer, 2 fridges, lights, two fans and lasts 9-10 hours on a full gas tank. The noise level is not bad - much better than our old unit. Highly recommended.

I bought this unit on May 5th it was delivered on the 13th. Set it up this morning and checked it out, every thing seems to be fine. It has electric start so after I put on the wheels and front feet and added the oil, connected the battery all I had to do was push the start switch and in a matter of seconds the generator came to life. I let it run a bit before I tried quite a few different appliances. The generator handled all with no problem. I only put in less than a gallon of gas and since I do not need the unit now [ bought this for emergency power outages ] I let the unit run until the gas ran out, which took over two hours to run out. I think this will be exactly what we need if we lose power. Quite easy for this 75 year old man to handle and move around. well made generator, made by a famous old name company westinghouse

Everything needed was included in the box. In less than 30 minutes I had the generator unpacked, wheels and feet installed, oil filled (supplied), filled with fuel and had it purring away. I let it run for about 15 minutes before I put it underload for the very first time. I connected our RV to the 30 amp outlet (TT-30R 120V 30A) and powered up the all the RV lights, fridge, electric water heater etc and then the air-conditioner and it worked great. I could hardly hear the generator once the AC was running. I went outside and was very happy with the noise level emitted by generator with basically everything electrical in the RV powered up and the AC running on max. It was much lighter than I expected and very easy to move about, however I would caution you to only pull the generator behind you don't try to push it with the handle or it may end up flopped over on its back (don't ask me how I know this :D ).

our insurance policy for power outages here in Pa.being we are both in our mid 60's wanted to make sure my wife could start this if i am no longer around. well she got it started on her 2nd pull. feels good to know she can have electricity during an outage.

I just brought ran Break in hour. Then hooked up to the camper turned on all the power (AC,Lights,Water pump, Both Refrig, Water heater and TVs) did not even pull it down. The setup was easy thanks for the funnel it helped. Started on third pull, it did need a few minutes of rough running then smoothed out and ran the 1 hr of break in with no load.

After the 2021 snowstorm, I decided to get better prepared for the future blackouts. I've installed a disconnect and an exterior 240V outlet that let me inject the power into the main panel after I disconnect the main breaker and isolate the whole house from city's utilities. A smooth run requires quasi-balanced loads on L1 and L2. The oil inlet could be better designed for easier access, but it is what it is.
