Just purchased after looking at numerous other models of this power. Difficult to purchase due to demand. Everything was in the box and the set-up was very simple. Started right away and ran it for an hour moving it to different locations around the outside of my house to check noise inside. Ran smooth and was very quiet. Have yet to attach any appliances so not sure what it will do. Am hopeful.

I have purchased this generator for house power backup. I like the quality of the generator and features, as electronic table which provides useful information. Ergonomic is good. But I spent some time trying to figure out how to check the oil level until I found that meter is located on the oil lid. I wish generator was less loud. :-)

With all the power outages in Southern California, it was time to get this for reliable backup of the entire home and appliances, for longer periods than a battery will provide and with the easy of instant refilling the tank - rather than a solar charge.

After a recent power outage that cost me some items from the refrigerator I decided it was time to invest in a generator. After asking friends and co-workers about features to look for and reading reviews on brands and generator types I decided to go with Westinghouse. I felt the WGen5300v was the best value for my needs and budget. It came with a wheel kit, a nearly 5 gal. (4.7) gas tank, easy to follow instructions and is easy to start. I have not needed it for an emergency yet but have no doubts it will provide more than enough power. An added bonus was that the engine (for its size) was not extremely loud.

Genset arrived in pristine condition, easy to set up. Very portable and space-efficient for how imposing this bad boy is with well designed handle, very smooth. Most importantly, started right up with fuel and oil check. Surprisingly quiet for the power rating. Transfer switch was an essential feature for me.

So far so good. Does what I need and no issues to report. Only observation is upon assembly, the flange bolt for the mounting foot extends into the angled metal of the foot, preventing a flush contact. I was still able to tighten down sufficiently however.

I just purchased this generator because the 2 I currently have just stopped working. I needed a unit to power an AC unit, fan, microwave and led lighting for our MX trailer when at the track. The unit was much smaller than I thought it would be when delivered and I though oh man did I buy the wrong size. Well I did not. This little generator is crazy powerful and operates everything I need and it's not even at full load. It's still new so only time will tell how durable it is but right now I'm impressed.

Recommends this product ✔ Yes Finished the 5-hour break-in period W/O any problems! Connected it to my Transfer switch with 6 circuits and did some testing. I'm running this puppy on my fridge, oil burner and indirect HW heater, 65" and 50" TV's, Bascially every light fixture and a ceiling fan in my house. Garage door opener, 2 PC's both with 24" LCD monitors and various other low wattage devices plugged in. I'm using the 120/240 Volt AC, 30 Amp NEMA L14-30R Twist Lock Receptacle. There was hardly any draw on the generator much to my surprise :) with the load balanced almost perfectly on the transfer switch. I was going to buy the smaller WGen3600 Generator but figured it wasn't enough. Now I wish I purchased the 10 circuit transfer switch to add at least one of my A/C units. Overall this is an excellent product and highly recommended it. I'll post another review when we have our 1st power loss and can test it for a longer period of time.

Ordered this recently to replaced old leaking generator (different brand & less power) that would've cost as much to repair as this one cost new! Easy minor assembly. This has push button start option which is GREAT! The design is better so looks like much of the periodic preventative maintenance will be much easier. And this has enough power to run most of the critical house needs if necessary - including lights, fridge, heat, sump pump, TV, etc (minus the air conditioning & stove if running the other items). Had an electrician install a 30 Amp transfer outlet outside so easy to hook up to all the house power along with a safety transfer switch on inside of electrical box. Electrician tested all the circuits, fuses & lines and everything worked great. Heavier than my last generator (approx135 lbs is approx 103 lbs), but the wide pull handle & slightly larger wheels make it just about the same effort to move around.

Just put together and started it up on propane and ran two times to warm up and seat the rings/breaking some. The only negative I have is the oil fill cap/dipstick. Plastic that doesn’t start and thread great. Just cheap and hard to get to and screw back on. Either it vibrated loose or I didn’t get it on well the first time I ran it. That is minor and it seems to be a good product for the money.
