Bought this for hurricane season and unexpectedly needed it 3 months later when the power was out for a week due to Hurricane Beryl. Worked great no thanks to the instruction manuel. If I had any mechanical knowledge I would have known it there was inaccurate steps, but it took usage and the internet to make me realize what was wrong. Knowing what I am doing now makes it a very nice generator for what we need. Highly recommended.

Bought this generator for my elderly mother. Working like a charm so far! Easy to set up, engine starts like a dream (using the electric start, which was a MUST for her, and which frequently doesn't work on most generators), and gives an amazing amount of runtime for its gas consumption. I've also heard that the customer service team is excellent, though luckily I have had no need to test that for myself. One minor issue: The exhaust pipe is covered, and surrounded by a spark arrestor frame. So while I really want to add an extension to funnel exhaust completely out of the shed, I don't have enough available pipe to clamp an extension onto. I get why the team capped and covered the pipe, but this is an issue for a generator that produces a *huge* amount of carbon monoxide - like, it will fill a small space instantly with fumes that can kill you quickly.

My daughter and son-in-law were telling me how pleased they were with their recently purchased 5300SC generator. With the start of hurricane season here, I thought it was a good idea to have one of my own. As I am 96 years young, the electric start feature will definitely come in handy! I bought this on Dec. 7, and it arrived at my door on Dec. 13. Generator had no damage, all items were present. Easy setup, simple instructions. I ran it for 30 minutes today to make sure all was well. I am very pleased. I have not put it to good use, but I am very happy so far.

This is the perfect small to mid-sized generator. Great value and all the features I needed to run 2 refrigerators, 2 portable air conditioners and 6 fans and some A/V equipment for 12 hours on a single tank of gas. I almost got the dual fuel for this location and that would have been great too.

Used to power my 27FT Class C RV powers everything no problem each gallon lasts about 5 hours if the AC is not used. If it is used a full tank will run the AC for about 8-10 Hours. No AC in use then you will get close to 20 Hours run time from the generator. Overall a great purchase I would recommend you buy this model its great.

Bought as a replacement for aPredator model of the same rating. It was much more difficult to pull start and move especially for my wife. knowing that I may not always be available I searched for a more suitable item that she could manage, especially with an elecric start. Your product admirably fit the bill and we are both very pleased with our selection.

I was looking for a dependable generator to replace my old one and researching the Westinghouse models I found the basic features I wanted but I messed up and bought the one without the remote start which would have been great I got the one with just the electric start, The main feature I was looking for was size and weight. The other feature I wanted was a reliable engine, this one is perfect it has steel liners for the pistons instead of the aluminum bored blocks not only that just look at the engine itself it looks tough 274cc ,CM sensor just a great generator, when I was finishing up putting on wheels and other assembly and check points. My favorite pet Lucille even approved.

I bought this because I live in Florida.As soon as I opened the box you could tell this a very well made generator.Very compact and a lot better design than the one I used to have.Before I bought this model I reviewed it thoroughly and this Westinghouse generator had rave reviews. More than happy with it.

I just moved to an area where the power goes out often and for several days at a time. I bought this WGen5300 generator and I love it. It supplies my entire home including my well pump and hot water heater. As an older woman living alone, this is a very easy generator to use. Electric start with backup pull just in case.
