I bought this to give my family a little more peace of mind in the current trying situation. We often have power outages during spring and summer storms and have lost substantial amounts of food due to extended loss of power. I'm confident that this generator will help lessen the stresses of power loss.

I purchase unit in May then had electrician install home transfer switch. Electrician informed me he had same unit and was very happy with it. The directions for setup are very clear. I have done required setup and now wait for mother nature to do her thing. This time I'm ready. So far very happy with unit.

I bought this generator a few month ago so I’ll be ready for hurricane season I got to use it the other day and it ran very good and not to loud for the size compare to other brands and model. It gives more than enough watts to power my whole house except the AC unit but a portable AC unit will. I have two big refrigerators fans lights so 5300 watt is more than enough and it give 14.5 hours of run time with less than 5 gallons that’s very good for me. I ran it in the 120v but if you want to use the 240 30amp outlet you will need to shut the unit off in order to make the change and once I did that i try to restarted and it took a few try’s and that’s the bad thing I found on this unit is that if you have to shut it off and then start it again is going to take quite a few pulls to get to start again. But I believe is a good generator for the price and how much Wattage it outputs compared to other brands and models.

This generator has been on my radar for a while, I love all the safety features of this product .The WGen5300v is the perfect size for the things I need it for, the right amount of power and watts for my purpose.The generator and control panel features are easy to read . The transfer switch is the reason I purchased this model. Excellent product.

This is my second one .... First one wouldnt stay running took it to repair shop authorizes by Westinghouse they had it for a month couldn't get it to work . Westinghouse sent a new unit fired it up ran great. Put unit away 2 months later have a power failure pulled it out started it ran it for 5 mins plugged in my trailer it stalled and will not restart.

Westinghouse makes an awesome generator. I just purchased a WGen5300s portable generator and I’m very pleased. It took only some minor assembly to get it fired up. The generator is more compact, quieter and easier to start than my 5000 watt Coleman generator. I was also pleased with Westinghouse customer service when calling with questions regarding product registration and technical information. Recently purchased the wgen5300s. Arrived in perfect condition and very promptly. Set up was easy and The instructions were clear. I gave it a test by plugging in two 1500 watt space heaters then added my miter saw. It worked as expected. Also tested the electric start as well as the manual pull cord. Both worked perfectly.

I bought this generator for when we go camping and to power the essentials in the house when we lose power. This benefits the bill perfectly. The never flat wheels with bearings and the handle make it so much easier to tote around compayto my old generator.

I feel very prepared for a power outtage thanks to this generator. It is big heavy beast that you can hear from a great distance. The wheels are easy enough to put on and make transportation a one person job. Instructions are easy to follow but seem a bit picky. For the first time run for one hour without a load. The first 5 hours with a varied load of 1/2 or less of the generator's capacity. I did it of course. Comes with everything you need except gas.

Just recently purchased, haven't had much chance to give it a full workout. I like the features and the practicality. I did notice a dent in the alternator cover, like it was set down on that end in warehousing or shipping. Other than that, I think it will meet my needs.
