Purchased the 5300S as a back up for my pellet stove, refrigerator, and chest freezer as we have little ones and the winters can be harsh. It powers everything perfectly with plenty left over for some lights and a TV. With the 240V option I can also run my electric water heater for showers/baths! Wonderful machine that was a breeze to set up and started immediately with one push of the button. 11/10!

The generator arrived on time. It came with all the tools and also a quart of oil can i think. It oscillates or revs up and down around 2 Hz for the first 2-4 mins and then seems to settle down. We havent had to use it yet in a power outage but looks good so far.

Just received it , assembly was easy, read the book completely to make sure I understand everything about it, put oil and gas, pull a few times, knowing first start take a few pulls to get gas to the carb. Started great. So far it runs great, haven’t had chance to really use it yet but I will.

I just brought ran Break in hour. Then hooked up to the camper turned on all the power (AC,Lights,Water pump, Both Refrig, Water heater and TVs) did not even pull it down. The setup was easy thanks for the funnel it helped. Started on third pull, it did need a few minutes of rough running then smoothed out and ran the 1 hr of break in with no load.

This product is great! Came shipped with oil in separate container. Takes 5 minutes to put the wheels and supports on. put the oil and fuel in, started up, worked perfectly. A great product, well worth the investment. Live in an area that looses power frequently, easy to plug into our house and stay powered with the essentials!

I purchased this to provide reliable power during extended power outages. When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised to find quality documentation of a quality that is all to scarce nowadays. There is a maintenance schedule that is clear and to the point. A well-illustrated replacement parts list that is thorough and clear. And a user manual that is very well written. The material is given in English, Spanish, and French. While I cannot speak to the French, both the English and Spanish sections are written by someone with a firm command of the languages, without the awkward phraseology that accompanies instructions written by one with a poor command of the language. Setup instructions were clear, and easily followed. The packing materials provided protection to the generator when it had to be turned on its side to attach the feet and wheels - a simple task given the tools are also provided. A funnel to allow one to add oil without spilling it is provided. It is adequate, but could be an inch or two longer for ease of use. After adding fuel per instructions and connecting the battery, the generator fired right up. A pull-start option ensures that in the event the battery has lost its charge one may still start the generator. The information panel is simple to understand and is thoroughly explained in the User Manual. Overall, this shows the signs of a well-thought-out and well-executed package, designed for quality and reliability.

Just bought it have not used it just did a test run and it worked well. It powered our leaf blower and a heater that we used to test. Easy to move around and has a great handle to use to move it. Not fond of the gas cap took a little to get it off but figured it out. The plastic thing they gave us to put the oil in didn't flex very well and was hard to put oil in without spilling it. All in all so far very happy with it.

I bought this for the many power outages that we have in our area. When the generator arrived it was very easy to set up! After I put the supplied oil in and some fuel, It started right up! The electric start is a must! Product seems to be very well built in fit and finish. Now I'll be ready for that next wind storm!

We have been researching generators to purchase, starting last year. Due to hurricane season 2023, we ended up not purchasing because we waited too long, and they were hard to find due to hurricane season in full swing. This year we started early and after reviewing many based-on features and pricing, we decided on the Westinghouse WGEN5300SC. The portability was important, and it allowed us to purchase the amount of power we needed, for a good price.

Just unpacked and assembled the unit per clear instructions. Quite simple. added oil, and a little gas and it started, no problem. The only negative was a little damage to the generator end cap/vent. See photo. Since the box was not damaged, I assume it was damaged at the factory. I does not hinder the operation of the unit. It's a keeper. I would purchase this product again.
