Full disclosure, I have not used this generator yet. After a TON of research, this seemed to be the best option on the market. All the right hookups in the right quantities, smaller and less heavy than similar products, easy to wheel around, great option for both home back up and rv power. It also has great reviews and was a competitive price at home depot- speed right to my door for free. I can't wait until summer to use it!

Gets the job done! No damage on arrival. Needed for the basics fridge and tv no problem. Being in Southern California wild fires and black outs becoming everyday this w5300v has been up to the task. Sound is tame comes with the basics wheels and oil. Thank you!

I’ve been running the generator just to make sure it will work during a hurricane and it seems to run very well. I put a load on it and it ran like a champ. I really enjoy the push start, and I was very surprised how quiet it is compared to our older one.

The generator started OK the first day. It started up again when I refueled. But after the first day (2 hours running time) I haven't been able to start it. I would have waited until I got a new spark plug (or whatever else needs to be fixed) before writing a review, but they wanted a review as part of registering the warranty.

Bought this unit home last night, easy to put together, I tad heavy getting it out of the box. So far started right up using both the electric start and plug cord. As of right now playing with this unit I can only think of two possible product improvements. (one ) is there is nothing in either the starting procedure or power management that tells you to insure that the Main Circuit Breaker is on ( #3 of Control Panel ) (two) I would have liked to have a protective sleeve on battery connector (not terminal ) in my case there is a small gap and I'm concerned it could be a source of contamination (so I wrapped a piece of electrical tape around it) Everything else good Happy so Far

I bought this item because of multiple outages at home and for future use as a power supply for my RV. Does exactly what I wanted it to do. It is quieter than most generators, which is great for my neighbors. It also comes in handy for jobsites without power. Has a good run time.

This generator performs as expected and works flawlessly even though it looks like FedEx dropped the box (the bottom corner of the box was badly crumpled). Westinghouse did an excellent job with the packaging and the generator was undamaged and started with the first pull after putting gas and oil into it.

Recently purchased the wgen5300s. It arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Setup was easy and the instructions were clear. I tested the unit by connecting two 1500 watt space heaters and then added my miter saw. It handled the load as expected. I also tested the electric start and the manual pull cord. Both worked perfectly.

I bought this generator to replace a 15 yr old one that died just before our last power outage.Great instructions on assembly and operation, the only problem I had was the two nuts welded to the frame on the choke side were not lined up with the holes in the frame causing the bolts holding the foot on that side to cross thread( I was afraid I was going to break the bolts) but they eventually seated.Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Started right up and after adjusting the choke it purred like a kitten ( my old one roared like a lion). I'm now ready for the next power outage up here in the cold northeast.

This generator is exactly what I needed for New England weather, where power outages happen fairly regularly and sometimes last for days (thanks a lot, EverSource!). It's got enough juice to handle all our needs and gives us peace of mind that we won't lose food in fridges and freezers, or be without water (since we're on a well pump).
