I bought this generator for home backup power and am very impressed with the quality. The generator arrived promptly and in good shape. Assembly is a breeze and the oil needed comes with the generator. The oil funnel included makes adding oil easy and mess free. After assembly I started it, which only took one pull on the cord. After following the break-in instructions, I load tested my generator and everything works as it should. The data center display is very clear and helpful, especially for the maintenance reminders. I also appreciate the manual being well made, with good information clearly laid out. Anyone who's dealt with poorly written or vague manuals will know how wonderful a good manual is. This generator has the quality you would expect from Westinghouse and I expect to have this product for many years to come.

A good product. Good step-by-step instructions on the generator...no going back and forth with a paper manual. Easy to start by a man. I saw the on/off switch on the product pictures and mistakenly thought it was a battery start. If I ever need to use it, I will need help from a stronger armed person.

This generator has been on my radar for a while, I love all the safety features of this product .The WGen5300v is the perfect size for the things I need it for, the right amount of power and watts for my purpose.The generator and control panel features are easy to read . The transfer switch is the reason I purchased this model. Excellent product.

I had a Generac large generator, which had been left in a garage for several years full of gas. I could not move this, so decided to go with something smaller that I could manage. We got the tires and feet on easily. After reading all the instructions, we used the electric start and it took a minute, but then it started right up. I had to go with an electric start as I have shoulder problems and cannot use a recoil. We let it run awhile before plugging anything in, a fan which was nearby. It did not come on at first and we realized we had not turned the Amps to 120. Once we did this we had cool air circling around us. This made me very happy. I had a generator I could handle and that worked and was easy to start. As I live in hurricane prone Florida, this was a great purchase. Something light enough I could handle and that I could easily start should I lose power. I did have to wait a week for it arrive from the store, but it was well worth it. I have a ramp from my lanai to the yard, so I can take it out if necessary to use. The price was excellent. I did go overboard on buying cables, etc. and wound up returning half of them. I would recommend this generator to anyone who needs a backup source of power. It is manageable and does not take up a lot of room.

I am certainly no mechanic and at age 65 I was not looking forward to putting things together. I was able to quickly put the necessary parts on and start it up. I have the electric start and it started on the second attempt. Much quieter than that old unit I retired. Very Pleased

I recently had to purchase another generator because the one I had quit running after only 2 years. This unit is exhibiting some of the same things the last unit was doing when starting. When the unit runs, it is great. However, starting the unit is a different story. Only purchased another westinghouse because I wanted a remote start.

We bought this generator because now that we have a kid, we can't just wait it out when the power goes out. I love that it can use propane as well as gas, as it's easier to keep a tank of propane and not worry about it going bad. So glad I bought it!

I bought this after the last storm i was very happy with how easy it was to set up and get started having dual fuel source is a major plus both gas and propane. Worth the money to give me a little peace of mind that i can keep my daughter insulin cool during a prolonged power outage

I bought this just last week and package in good condition. Had it unpacked, assembled and running in about 15 minutes. Just had to pop on the wheels and foot pads, add the supplied oil and a little gas and it started on the second pull. Very quiet and smooth running. I needed a dual purpose generator I could use for home backup and on the road for camping with adequate power. This unit is exactly what I wanted. and at a great price. Plus They offer a free cover. I recently purchased this generator after a power outage. It arrived promptly and is sturdy as well as attractive. The pull start is quite manageable. Moving it about is made easy by means of large wheels and a sturdy padded handle. The operators manual is clear and quite articulate.
