[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress provides excellent support and comfort. I am able to adjust the positioning to suit my needs. The light provided is excellent for seeing in the middle of the night, but not keeping me awake. The ease of which it works and the quietness when adjusting is perfect.

We had to select a new bed after or original Tempur-pedic Grand Cloud bed was sagging. We only had the Grand Cloud for 6 years. We were told we would never have to buy another bed in our lifetime when we purchased the bed. Not so true. We loved our Grand Cloud however, it is no longer made so off to finding a new model. We went with the Luxe Adapt Firm and so far it has been pretty good. It is not as comfortable as our old bed but it is still a nice bed and does not cause any back pain. The first week the bed was pretty firm and I woke with hip pain but that has now gone away. Overall it is a good bed.

I got our LuxeAdapt a few weeks ago and could not be happier with our selection! Our old mattress was 10+ years ago so it was time for an update and my goodness - it has been a dream to sleep on! The amazing design allows me to fall asleep so much faster and for longer periods too. Even with my light sleeping habits, I hardly wake up to any movements from my husband's side with their motion canceling technology. I chose the firm option and wouldn't have it any other way. It gives me the firm support I need, but still molds to my body to alleviate those pressure points. Even my husband has been raving about how refreshed he feels in the morning thanks to our new LuxeAdapt. If you're thinking about investing in a Tempur-Pedic, do it! Our old mattress was also a Tempur so you know I'm a true fan of their brand and quality products. I waited to make this review to allow time to change my mind. My complaint isn't the mattress, its the odor that comes from it. The first night we slept on it I had to go sleep in the guest room. The fumes that came from it were more than I could tolerate. Next night my husband joined me. For three days, we set our mattresses out on saw horses outside to hopefully help with the odor. After those three days, we put them on the frame without any bedding and I opened the window and put a fan on them all day. We continued to sleep in the guest room. After about 10 days, I made up the bed and we slept in it. I am a side sleeper so that puts my face closer to the mattress. My husband sleeps on his back so it wasn't as bothersome to him. Although I enjoy the mattress and enjoy the feel and comfort of it and all that the it does with our special frame, I wouldn't be able to recommend it. I do have a very sensitive sense of smell, but this odor was over the top.

I guess I did not realize how much I needed a new mattress, and most of all: I never dreamed I would buy a foam matress. This mattress is so comfortable, and I was told it may take a while to break it in. There was no breaking in ever with the Tempur-pedic Luxadapt SOFT. My insomnia went away and I now sleep later. It was expensive, but worth the investment. The only con is that you do not want to sleep right on the edge, as your body sinks down on the foam and you could slide out of bed. Just move over some. No big deal. Also, the ease makes a big difference too. If I lift my legs up a small amount, it gently pushes my lower back into the mattress, and that gives me great back relief while sleeping and when I wake up.

I am the Princess and the Pea story; I can feel every uncomfortable thing in a mattress. After going through many mattresses, including a $13k "natural" mattress that I threw out after a couple months, I have finally found the one that puts me to sleep. It is as comfortable sitting up with my adjustable base for watching a late night movie to a midday nap. I have a quilted mattress pad over it for extra loft and protection. The only negative is it took a couple of weeks for the new odor to dissipate, though I was able to open the bedroom to outdoors to help it along. I have the plush version queen with a matching pillow. I now wake up refreshed, even from just a nap; no more hip or shoulder pain.

When it comes to your bed, what lies beneath is much more important that the bedding on top. A good mattress is the foundation to creating the best sleep environment possible. I have to admit, I've never really thought about my mattresses. However now I am a true believer. Who knew a piece of foam would be my salvation? The Tempur Luxe Adapt comes in two different styles: soft or firm. I chose the firm. And while the bed truly is firm, the memory foam or Tempur-Pedics's Tempur Material gives way to adjust to your body. It's like sinking into a cloud. And while the mattress accommodates and conforms to your body, your partner remains undisturbed. It's the bed's motion cancellation in action so they don't feel your movement. This is truly an added bonus especially if your partner tends to shift around a lot at night. Almost immediately, I found I was getting much better sleep and wasn't waking up with a stiff lower back. I can't tell you how I look forward to crawling under the covers every night. The downside? I really miss my bed when I travel. These days, hotel beds just don't seem to measure up.

Fixn to retire and getting my must haves out of the way. Number 1 was a new Harley Road King. Number 2 was a new Tempurpedic. I have slept on tempupedics for 10 years and they just get better. This one is the best so far. Other mattresses in my world do not compete(In any way). Pricey but well worth it! Now for number 3.......
