[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically like firm mattresses but ithis was too firm. I'm a side sleeper and it actually hurt my shoulder and arm because of the firmness. I returned it for pro adapt medium hybrid and I love it.

Ok people, I'm 22 years old. I've slept in three beds in my entire life. Obviously started out in a crib, moved to a twin and slept on that same mattress until about 19. Moved in with my fiance and sleeping in a king mattress until May 11th 2020 when our Split King Pro-Adapt mattresses finally arrived! We both got to the point where we were having a lot of problems in our old mattress. He has sciatic nerve issues occasionally and is always tossing and turning. I am a very light sleeper and was barely sleeping the last 3 weeks before our new mattress was delivered. The nerves in my lower legs also seem to go crazy when I am laying down so any type of movement from my fiance makes it that much more stressful especially when he thinks he has to launch hmself in and out of bed in the middle of the night lol. It was miserable! We decided to get a firm split king because of our different needs though we both wanted a firm mattress and I had read previous reviews where some people no longer felt their partner move around so that really made me want a split king. We decided to pair it with the Ergo adjustable base (Separate review.. life changing) and it took over a month to get everything delivered but finally low and behold we are sleeping better! Love me a firm mattress! Our old one just felt too soft and I couldn't seem to find a position where my body truley felt relaxed. I barely feel him moving around and the nerves in my legs have calmed down so much I would assume due to now I sleep wih the bottom end of the mattress lifted (Thanks Ergo base)! I have been sleeping better though still having some issues on night where I just can't sleep. I am getting ready to buy some new pillows from here that I think will work with the mattress and base and completely fix all of my problems! If you get a firm, once you set it up, it will feel really hard but don't be alarmed! That will change when it warms up to the temp of the room. When we set it up and sat on it, we looked at each other like uhhhhhhh this is like laying on cement and we were hoping we didn't just make a giant mistake lol but nope it was perfect once it warmed up! Only thing that kind of sucks is that I read you shouldn't use heated blankets on the mattress. I have been using a heated blanket the passed 2 years since my feet can't ever get warm. They are always freezing cold at night and would cramp up in the middle of the night so I'm having a lot more cramping now but it's a small price to pay. I think I just need a better comforter. Overall, I love this mattress and am trying to convince my parents they should get one too! Was well worth the money! You spend a big portion of your life in bed. Might as well be comfy! All of my future bed products will now be purchased through Tempur-Pedic!

We had tried standard box spring mattresses, Sleep Number, and a firm mattress with a pillow top. None were as adaptable and supportive to our contours as this Tempurpedic. We picked up the pillows when we purchased the mattress while waiting for mattress delivery, and they are a definite 10 as well.

This literally was our Fourth try at a new mattress in less than a year. We first tried what we were replacing. Traditional high end Stearns & Foster. After 4-6 weeks on all 3 different models we both felt as though we were sleeping in a gully. One of us is a back sleeper & the other a side sleeper. We both move VERY LITTLE through the night. So we gave up & at our sons suggestion, bought our Tempurpedic. We absolutely love it. We both are sleeping so well now.

From the moment I lay down, I can feel the layers contouring to my body and the medium feel is just right. It offers enough support for my back but still super comfortable and plushy! The material also helps in staying cool all night, so I don't wake up sweaty anymore! I wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. This mattress has honestly been one of the best decisions I've made for my sleep health. Highly recommended!!

Upgraded from a 10yr old pillow top off-brand. Same sleep since day 1. Restful, and I am no longer stiff and sore every morning. I used to be eager to get out of bed so my headaches would ease. Now, I want to sleep later and longer. As a marathon runner, every minute of rest is critical to recovery. I am highly satisfied with my new matress, and recommend the brand to anyone replacing what they have.

It was a rough first two days on the mattress. It felt like a brick. BUT after those first two days, it molded with my body and I now sleep sooooo well! The pillows are great too. This is my second tempurpedic mattress and pillows and I can say that they have made some serious improvements to these new products. My body doesn't get so hot on it anymore either with their new pro-adapt technology. The pillows are definitely cooler and lighter. Love it! I'm very very happy with the purchase.

We had recently purchased a Sleep Number bed/foundation that we were very unhappy with. We returned it and immediately purchased a Tempurpedic. We had looked at them several times prior to the Sleep Number bed. We are now thrilled and sleep great with the bedding.

This bed is wonderful for my husband who likes to sleep on anything rock solid and generally uncomfortable for the rest of the world. We spent quite a deal of money on this bed after lots of urging from a salesman about how wonderful it would be for both of us. It's not. I like to sleep on a cloud and want to sink into my bed. I thought I could get used to this bed and I cannot. We will be returning to our local Slumberland and getting a replacement of some kind that will allow me to sleep and not keep me awake in pain, tossing and turning. My 6 month old should be keeping me awake, not the uncomfortable new, highly expensive mattress we bought.

You don't have that get in, sink really deep into it thing that you do with some fully foam mattresses. The give is, instead, just enough to be really, really comfortable. And it's great for cuddling: your arm doesn't fall asleep. In contrast, I find that I'm definitely getting better sleep on this mattress, and, I don't wake up sore anymore. It's pretty fantastic. I've also found that, compared to my previous spring mattress, I don't feel as much when my partner moves or shifts in the night. I dare say this mattress is even more comfortable than a hammock, and that's saying something. One concern I had with a foam mattress was how warm it would be. Well, my fears turned out to be unjustified: even in an apartment with no air conditioning, in an unusually hot August, I had no trouble with overheating, and I definitely sleep on the warm side. I think this is due to the fact you don't end up sinking into, and being encapsulated in, the mattress. The only downsides I found with this mattress were minor. First, when it arrived, it definitely had a pretty strong plastic smell to it. Fortunately this dissipated after a few days. The other thing I discovered is that, if you don't have sheets that are big enough for the mattress depth, they really don't work! With my old mattress, slightly smaller sheets still gripped the side of the mattress fine. This one, though, has so much give in it that I kept waking up completely wrapped in the bottom sheet! This was rectified by purchasing some sheets that actually fit the 12 inch deep mattress--- but it's a good thing to know beforehand.
