Gas is much cheaper than electricity in my area and our gas oven was working just fine, but we got so tired of cleaning whenever items would fall into the oven grate. This new oven makes that a breeze. It's so nice to be able to swipe down and clean. Electric ones are cheaper than Induction, but you don't get the benefit of quick heat transfer. Since this doesn't have dials, sometimes, it's difficult to know if you left something on. In that case, I've had the SmartThings app send me a notification that it may still be on. I can turn on the light inside and preheat things from the phone too. My parents also have an older Samsung induction and mentioned how they like the new anti-scratch coating on this oven. We did have to get some new cookware to make it work with induction, but we like it a lot so far. Hopefully the top surface will stay clean and not crack (since it's glass). We're happy to see this new appliance in our kitchen, and look forward to using it more!

You won't believe how fast this range will heat up pans for cooking and especially sauteing! The controls are easy to use once you get used to it and I love the fact that it doesn't heat up my kitchen and it's more child friendly so I won't have to worry about my son burning himself in the future. The app integration is awesome, its makes controlling the oven and watching cook time so convenient. The range looks really clean for my Kitchen and I like the black matte finish as it adds a flair to my other stainless steel appliances.

The Samsung Induction Range is sleek and safe with its hidden controls that can lock both oven and cooktop so you don't accidentally turn it on by leaning against it. The Induction cooktop is amazing, fast and precise and really is anti-scratch. I was used to baking in convection ovens and didn't realize this oven has a Hidden Baking Element on the bottom so was a bit of a learning curve but works well.Great value and performance, I highly recommend this range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never thought cooking would be even more enjoyable. Please note you will need induction pots and pans to be able to use this range. First thing I did was try to set up the range on my Smart Things app. One thing to mention, if you can’t connect your range to the Smart Things app, try to default it using the cooktop panel in settings. Once defaulted it connected right away for me! I love the Smart Things app, such a life changer. I tend to multitask and hey sometimes I check on my food too late, There is a setting on the cooktop side that can send you reminders that you are cooking. The Oven side of it is even better. You can set up your oven to preheat from your phone and set up a timer during the baking process. Note if your timer runs out, your oven turns off (super awesome to me in case I get tied up and can't get to the oven in time). Another cool feature is this range has a boost feature on the cooktop that is amazing. I found it helpful if you want your water to boil or get a pan hot faster so you can start cooking right away. It also has a feature set up if you remove your pot or pan off the burner it will shut it down for you. Overall this range has made my cooking fun and safe with all these smart features.

The range outperforms our old gas model and we love all the smart features. Note that the range will trip the breaker if installed with a GFCI breaker. Our electrician had to confirm this detail with Samsung and came back out to swap the breaker.

This range is way safer than a lot of the ranges on the market because it needs at least 3 separates commands in order to turn on. I highly recommend this range if you have small children and big dogs that can reach the cook top panel control.
