A year ago, we were sleeping on an all foam Ghost Bed and I had lower back pain every morning. We went to a mattress store and did their assessment and ended up with a Sealy Posturepedic Medium Hybrid with an adjustable base. That alleviated almost all of my lower back pain, but I still slept with a pillow under my knees most nights. We have been sleeping on the Pro-Adapt for 3 weeks now and my lower back pain is gone, it seems my support needs are finally being met. My husband didn't experience the same issues as I, but he did comment this is the most comfortable mattress we have slept on yet. I would now pay for the level of quality Tempur-Pedic provides, I'm a convert! For those on the fence, consider this. If a mattress lasts for 7-10 years, your daily cost for amazing sleep is less than a cup of coffee. Would that be worth it to you?

I love my Tempur Pedic mattress. Despite the fact that its a sauna, my good I'm sweating all the night. I'm buying cooling pads to see if i can refresh myself. Saying that, i think its the best mattress i ever own my back has gone from imposible pain to no pain at all. For this reason i will definitely recommend this mattress.

Three weeks is usually to soon to know how well the mattress and I will get on as the months pass. However it has performed as advertised thus far. I do wish to say the same next year. As you will read, I am particular. For the record: I live in south Florida; so we are always under air conditioning. sleeping conditions: A/C set to 73 degrees. Big ceiling fan over the bed on high speed. just a top sheet and bottom sheet; no blankets. Wife sleeps apart in the warm bedroom. i have cool water running thru a pillow pad all night long keeping my head comfy. I sleep better when I am cool. The mattress has not been hot (that is insulating me more than i prefer), which was a concern. Lastly, I am a side sleeper by necessity. Apnea will occur if I try to sleep on my back. And two firm pillows under my head (because of side sleeping). I sleep with a third firm pillow under my side. keeps pressure of my shoulder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, one week into the "soft" model mattress. First few days quite uncomfortable. Seemed to be as hard as a sidewalk. After reading suggestions online, we started walking around on it several times a day. Now it seems a "little" better. Time will tell. Sales people should tell you it will take quite a while to get comfortable to sleep on. Maybe as long as a month or two we are now told. Soft is not "soft" as we have found out. Be careful as most display models in stores are months old with scores of people trying out. The one you buy will be very different for quite a while

I purchased a new mattress after 17 years on a Kingstown posturepedic. I chose the temper pedic based on its name and reputation. I have only been sleeping on it for 19 sleeps thus far. I am still unsure of my complete feelings of whether I made the right decision which is a big one in my opinion. The medium firmness and the blend of foam with the coils/springs of the hybrid gave me piece of mind as far as I believe that this mattress will hold its shape and form longer then the strictly foam versions. I read alot of reviews that may or may not support that theory. In my opinion it's the best of both worlds. The medium firmness is not too soft and not top firm. The mattress does sleep warm, something to get used to. I have neck and back issues and tend to wake up every couple hours to either shift sleeping positions or to relieve pressure points. I have had a few nights on my new mattress that I actually slept for a 4 to 5 hour block without waking up which is new for me. I also wake up feeling more energized and overall more well rested. I also purchased an adjustable base which is nice for watching tv and reading. Last night I fell asleep on my back with the head and feet elevated. This was nice until at some point I rolled to my side and found it uncomfortable. I used the remote to go back to a complete horizontal position. I was given a mattress protector as part of a promotion which is a must! I am currently using this on top of the original temper cover. The original mattress protector completely encases the mattress and would be a process to remove and wash. I also switched to a lighter weight sheet set 2 nights ago hoping to eliminate the bed sleeping as warm. I do like the low profile of this mattress, it makes it much easier to get in and out of bed, as before with a box spring, mattress, and foam mattress topper I had a hard time getting in and out of bed. I am still deciding the pros and cons of this bed. I would say at this point the pros outweigh the cons.

So a couple of things to keep in mind, the mattress takes a while to break in and can sleep warmer than other mattresses. With this in mind, choose appropriate bedding, my wife, and I use cooling sheets and blankets as anyone might in the summertime. After the bed breaks in, it does hug your curves and supports you completely. I have had ours now for two months and feel amazing benefits, no back or neck pain, worth the investment. We have tried other companies that ship in a box, and this is just superior quality and manufacturing. One thing I would like to note is they do have the top cooling layer to their bed with the tight-knit material, but you don't notice when sheets are on, unless you sleep directly on, which I know most would not do as it may void a warranty from stains. I wish Tempurpedic would offer the same quality of knitting for the bed as a sheet or blanket set. Pro is the comfort you will obtain, its truly unlike any other bed and it shows how they made memory foam their own. A con, it's relatively expensive, but its made in the USA and they employ US workers, this means a lot to my family. I suggest this bed for anyone with back pain or special conditions. Perhaps another suggestion I could make is most other companies will offer a full money back warranty with no restocking fees and an extended trial period, Tempurpedic is more conservative compared to others, but, they most likely incur more costs than the others do. Excellent mattress, try it out at a store first before buying, as there are many models. Its all about the right feel for you and your body type/preferences. Great bed, sleeping well! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are on night 4 with this bed and are loving it. We exchanged a purple 4 for this and it's flap much better. My wife and I both toss and turn significantly less because the memory foam just cradles. My low back, and hip pain from the purple mattress has disappeared, and my shoulders also don't hurt. Very pleased so far!

I generally prefer a soft/medium mattress and my husband likes the bed on the firmer side. We got the Temper-ProAdapt in medium and have both been very comfortable. When you first lay on it, the mattress feels quite firm (to me) but gently forms to your body and feels very supportive. It doesn't feel like you are sinking into the mattress, it is still comfortable to move or turn. And it was immediately comfortable from the first night. It also seems to stay cooler than our last mattress, we both sleep warm so that is a huge plus. We've also experienced little to no movement transfer, neither of us stirs when the other gets into our out of bed, which is really important because we aren't always on the same schedule. I also really appreciate that the mattress is very light. I like to keep our sheets really tight, so I lift each corner of the mattress and it is SO much lighter than our old mattress. I've been a side sleeper for my whole life and try sleeping on my back from time to time because I hear it is better for us and this mattress is the most comfortable I've been sleeping on my back. The delivery process was easy to set up and the gentlemen who brought it were pleasant and professional. It's been a couple of weeks and we are loving our mattress!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wanted a Tempur-Pedic for years. I held off due to the pricetag. However, after recently being in an auto accident, I was miserable at night. I would toss and turn and was in extreme pain. I decided it was time for the Tempu-Pedic, regardless of the cost. It has been the best decision I have made and regret not doing it sooner. I sleep incredibly better and it helps greatly reduce my pain. I absolutely love my new bed. Only downside: I never want to get out of it.

Our previous Tempur-pedic was 20 years old plus and definitely needed to be replaced. This time we bought a split king with an adjustable base because we both need to raise our heads and my husband needs to raise his feet a little also. The ProAdapt soft mattress has proved to be very comfortable for both of us whether we sleep on our side or our back. We both have different types of back issues and I have problems with sciatic nerve so the comfort of this mattress is extremely important to us and we just love it. I can only think of one negative issue and that's it can be difficult to change the sheets.
