I had my previous tempurpedic for 17 years and it was time to get a new one. I was really undecided between the medium and the firm. In the store the medium felt too soft and the firm felt too firm. I have alot of spinal back and neck issues so I decided to go with the firm. I figured I could always put a mattress topper on it if necessary. I'm so glad I went with the firm. No topper needed. It took about a week to get used to the firmness but now I feel like I like the support of the firmness and the conforming nature of the top layers. After sleeping on the firm now for about a month, I feel confident that the medium would definitely have been too soft for my back. For reference purposes I weigh about 230 lbs. I feel the upper layers contouring within the first few minutes after getting on the mattress. Although it's a pricey mattress compared to others, I feel it's worth it and I'm glad I went with the tempurpedic again. Definitely also glad I went with the firm.

We have been happily sleeping on Tempurpedic mattresses for 20+ years. Recently, though, I developed shoulder arthritis, and I was waking up with shoulder pain. We switched our old (still good!) firm Tempurpedic for this softer version. No more shoulder pain! Tempurpedic mattresses have consistently given us our best sleeps. As our bodies change over time, updating the style of mattress we sleep on makes good sense. (Our friends' six-foot, six-inches adult child was delighted to adopt our like-new king-size mattress, and loves it as much as we did. Tempurpedics seemingly 'last forever.')

I am writing this review because my Tempurpedic mattress has changed my life. I have suffered from insomnia most of my life and I have had difficulty falling asleep. This all changed in a few days on my new mattress and split adjustable base. I'm not only sleeping throughout the night, but I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. Thank you to Susan who was extremely patient showing us different mattresses's and also the adjustable base. Its rare to have someone spend that much quality time with my wife and I reviewing the different mattress's. Thank you Susan and thank you Tempurpedic.

The combination of TEMPUR material and premium spring coils brings comfort, pressure relief, and reinforcement-a true blessing after a long day of work and a lengthy drive home. The pressure-relieving foam provides soothing support to my back problem. What I appreciate most is the breathable material and SmartClimate Cover System, ensuring I stay cool throughout the night. Waking up feeling hot and uncomfortable was a major issue for me before, but not with this mattress. Additionally, its removable and washable cover makes it super easy to keep clean. It's currently a little firmer than medium, but I understand that it needs to 'break in' to my body and will hopefully soften over time to its true feel and provide the perfect balance of support and plushness for an even more restful night's sleep. This mattress is trouble, everytime you lay on it you will wind up staying in it and not want to get up meaning you will be late for work or just not even want to go to work it is that comfortable. At first you think its firm but it slowly adapts to your shape not in a sinking way at all though like a very comfortable way. The cool technology on the thin layer at the top also is a bonus, we never feel hot. I am very happy with the results. It has helped my back tremendously. Worth the money.

Got this mattress to replace our 12 year old Tempur-Pedic. My wife and I find this hybrid design to be much more comfortable, and no minor aches we had with the older mattress. We didn't expect this big a difference, and are glad we made the purchase. Well worth the money! FIVE STARS ALL DAY LONG!

I'm very disappointed, because the people who worked here told me that the medium hybrid would work for my height and weight as a side sleeper. I am 5"3 and 135 pounds for reference. My hips are very sore as I'm building up pressure points and I can feel the supporting layers underneath. This bed is way too firm for a side sleeper of my side. I wake up every day with a sore back sore ,sides and sore hips . I toss and turn all night long and have very bad sleep. I will say though it's not hot and it does not feel like you're on a heater or anything like that, I'm not a hot sleeper though so I'm not really sensitive to that. But that is only plus side I can think of. Unless you're a bigger person I warn you to not get this if you are a petite side sleeper, it is extremely firm and so uncomfortable.

With my firm mattress, I don't get the effect of sinking into my mattress, but still get the pressure relief and conforming to my body. My body pain has gotten so much better and I actually enjoy going to bed now! Thank you Tempurpedic and would definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mattress because I wanted a soft mattress since I am a side sleeper. I find the mattress very comfortable for my shoulders and hips. The mattress slowly conforms to your body shape once you lay on it. Unfortunately, I still find the mattress to be warm. After a few hours of sleeping, I find that I need to kick off my covers due to the build up of heat in the bed. So much for a good night of sleep. I was hoping the cover of the ProAdapt they advertise so well as being cooling would be enough to keep me cool throughout the night but I did not find that to be the case. This is a good mattress is you want a soft bed but you get warm, this is not the bed for you.
