I suffer from serious back issues. I've had one back surgery and a second on the horizon and before I bought this mattress I could barely lie down much less sleep at night. This mattress has the right amount of firmness and give on pressure points. Best money I've ever spent!!!

I purchased a twin pro adapt firm mattress from mattress firm and they claimed it was sold to a customer that returned it within a week. After having the mattress for a short while, I realized there was a very soft area compared to all other areas on the mattress. Mattress firm did not resolve the problem as they have pathetic"customer service". I called tempur pedic and spoke with Glenda who works in the escalation department. She looked at pictures and agreed that there is no way that a mattress I purchased in Sept 2023 had a manufactured date in 2021. Glenda also stated to me that she can see why I had this huge problem because she looked at all the pictures I emailed. Tempur pedic also turned their back on me so I'm stuck with an expensive mattress with an area that doesn't support my back and would never recommend this product to anyone!

Takes time to get used to...and forget putting sheets on these mattresses easily. Just maneuvering around on the bed is like wallowing in mud...very difficult. The bed is so heavy it's pretty much stationary after the helpers leave....and once you get into a spot on the be, you're there - tough to turn over if you're someone that does. Also using the frame that lifts the head and foot , if you lift the head it makes you slide down the mattress, until you're at the bottom of it. I think this will work for me, but it's taking getting used to - I came from 20 year old box springs/mattress Sealy.

The reason we went with a Tempur Pedic is the success we've had with our other mattress. We absolutely love this mattress! We bought our first Tempur Pedic 20 yrs ago. It served us very well! We decided to get a King and wanted to stay with a TP. My wife river dances in her sleep (restless leg) which is why we bought one years ago. We both sleep very well on this! It supports but is really comfortable, I don't feel like I sink into the mattress, & I don't feel my wife toss about. I sleep deep and hard on this mattress. There is an accusation that I have slept so deep, there was some deep rhythmic breathing occurring (snoring in laymen's terms! LOL). When it was unboxed and set up, we knew it would be hard as a brick...so don't just jump onto it! We put several blankets on it to get it to soften up a bit. The first night it was pretty hard - which we expected and were told it would be. That was the worst of it. We've had it a month now and although a firm mattress, it is softening and very comfortable. We like this better than the breeze which we slept on somewhere. I didn't feel the support of the breeze like I do with this one or our very first TP. Bottom line -- I sleep like a brick, I don't feel my wife move around, & our 75lb Golden Retriever sleeps well on it too! Remember it will take a couple of days for it to soften when first unpacked (it was VERY cold and in a warehouse when delivered)...we are sold on this mattress!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ***Warning***Do not lay on this mattress in the showroom, unless you are prepared to buy it. After lying on traditional spring mattresses and then the Tempur-Pedic, the choice was clear. Certainly a different price range than traditional mattresses but well worth the extra money, if you want to sleep like you never have before. The only downside I have seen is that I do not want to get out of bed in the morning, but is that really a negative? Exceptional mattress!

My previous mattresses were a Sealy coil/box spring and most recently a Simmons Beauty Rest coil/box spring which I had for almost 10 years . In the last six to eight months with the Simmons, I started feeling back pain as the middle of the mattress started to sag. The first couple of nights on the Tempur-Pedic felt foriegn compared to what I'd been used to for a decade; now that I've been sleeping on it for 10 weeks, I can easily say that it's the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. At first, I wondered if the medium Hybird was too firm, but no; after less than a week, I now sleep very, very good every single night. Yes, Tempur-Pedic mattresses are expensive but they are worth the price, I have no regrets. I work a lot of hours all the time, averaging about 5 1/2-6 hours of sleep 6 of 7 days a week. I needed something really comfortable allowing me to fall asleep quick in the hours I have which is what the Tempur-Pedic offers. Oh yah, I have the pillows too, which are very nice.

Bought a split king in two different firmnesses recommended by the sleep specialist. After 90 days of terrible sleep ended up swapping to a standard king or medium hybrid pro adapt and have never slept worse in my life. After almost a year now of "breaking in" it's gotten worse. Only in our 30's and now have more back and hip pain than I ever imagined. Don't sleep, tossing turning, neck back and hip pain. Absolutely terrible. Spent all the money on all the hype just to be in shock at how terrible it sleeps. Should've gone with my other options of other brands. Would not recommend

When I tried the mattress in the store it for a firm but yet soft enough for me. When I got a new mattress at home it was hard as a rock and sleeping on it actually hurt my back. I was truly disappointed for spending so much money and not getting what I tried out in the store.

We have been sleeping on this mattress for several weeks now. To be honest, the first couple of nights were worrying. Each night got better and now, I am very happy with the quality of rest we both enjoy. My former mattress gave me hip pain every night as I am a side sleeper. This TEMPUR-PorAdapt firm has totally eliminated my hip pain. Should have purchased this years ago.

It's strange to say but I feel like I get better sleep, not more sleep but better sleep. I got the adjustable base, the cheapest one, and it's awesome! Zero gravity it my favorite! I have been telling my family and friends it was worth every penny. Now my kids want one :). I got the split king and the hardest part to get used to was the split between the beds.
