While this iron works very well, because the purple plastic tank is so dark, I find it almost impossible to see the water level. I've overfilled it many times, dripping water all over. If the tank was easier to see through, I would give it a very favorable rating.

I liked the weight and handling of this iron. The grip was good and the small 'prow' on the sole plate allowed for pressing into snug corners. The filling inlet is awkwardly placed, and the lid to it takes some prying to lift; also difficult to see the water level - clear plastic would make a visual inspection easier. I found the temperature control dial awkwardly placed - hiding under the handle. As for the "max" heat setting...it just wasn't hot enough. But in the end, it was the inconsistent heat delivery that made me return the iron. I don't expect to have to wait for the iron to get up to temperature every minute or so, and "Max" wasn't so very high. It made my ironing chores take longer, and that's not acceptable! I have to wonder...does anyone 'test drive' these new iron designs, or is it all 'form over function'?

I used this on a few items that had tons of wrinkles to get out and was very happy to use this iron.. I really liked that it DID NOT leak as I used it, as has happened with other irons in the past. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Rowenta Iron seems to be a good choice and has some really good features. The first thing I really like is the number of steam holes on the plate. There are a ton of them so the steam comes out with a burst of power and has plenty of places to come out of the iron. The tip of this iron is the most precise I’ve ever used. It does a really good job of getting in between the buttons on my shirts to iron out those tough to reach places. It’s also great for smaller areas like shirt collars. The iron heats up fast when I use it and it has a pilot light that goes out letting you know the iron is hot and ready to use. It has multiple safety auto shut offs which is great. It shuts itself off when it sits idle upright for too long, is horizontal, or mistakenly tips over. The water reservoir holds about a cup of water so I can iron multiple items without having to refill it. The reservoir is also covered to help with leaking back over what you’ve already ironed. I think this feature going to come in handy when ironing multiple things and has been a problem in the past with other irons. There are a couple of features that I like on the iron but feel they could be improved upon. The first is the cord reel. I love that it coils up into the bottom of the iron and I don’t have to worry about figuring out how to wrap up the cord. This keeps it from snagging on stuff or taking up extra room. What I don’t like as much is that I feel like it is not as smooth as it could be. It takes multiple times of hitting the button and getting it to retract into the iron and it seems choppy as it coils up. The other thing I felt was difficult to use on the iron was the temperature control. I felt that it was somewhat difficult to get to and adjust. I think that this is something that I will get used to the more I use it and do not see it as a big reason for not choosing this iron. Overall, I think this Rowenta Iron is great quality and is going to be easy to use and help me not dread ironing those shirts and pants so I can wear them.

I received this iron a little over a week ago and have used it to iron my clothes for work every day since I got it. It heats up and is ready to use super quick (under a minute) and eliminates any wrinkles on the first or second go. The other iron I had would take at least twice as long from start to finish to get my clothes ready to wear. I'm glad I got this and will continue to use it going forward. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rowenta DW23 Access Steam Iron delivers on every aspect. It has wonderful steam capabilities and glides easily over garments. The heat setting dial turns easily (almost too easily at the end of the rotation) and can be read effortlessly. The handle is comfortable to grip and the iron is not too heavy but has the weight to do the job. The water tank is easy to fill and check on the level. Both of the water dispenser buttons, steam and spray, are simple to depress. The best features are the vertical steam option, the non-scratch soleplate and the auto turn off, if left unattended.

What a poor design of the water tank.. It is dark blue and impossible to see the water level. Also the iron keeps spitting out white flakes. The manual said it would only do that the first time it was used. Well, 20 times later it is still spitting out white flakes.

I love how well this iron works. Will all the steam holes I am able to iron much faster with this iron. Another one of my favorite features is the vertical steaming. I find the tip of the iron to be slimmer than most so I can get to those tricky areas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love the Accesssteam Cordreel Iron! I do a lot of quilting so I’ve always need an iron nearby. This iron is easy to get into the small seams. It’s also easy to fill with water and no problems with water leaking out.
