fresh for what it is and great value But a little mealy

This ham was tasty and delicious! Uncured is a much better option when you want a ham for the holidays but don’t want processed meats. No complaints, it was gobbled up very quickly!

Best ham out there. Has a smoky flavor, like sliced right off the ham bone, has a little fat which we love, you can use it for many recipes. We use it for sandwiches and and bean and ham soup, imparts the best flavor. It goes really fast in our house.

We often purchased a similar product at Sam's Club in the past (it had Kentucky in the name) that we actually enjoyed, but they were not labeled "Members Mark". The one purchased in September 2023 was slimy, swimming in liquid, and had sections of gristle that were inedible. Since reading similar reviews, we will not be buying this product again.

I have purchased quite a few of these and absolutely loved them until recently. The last two that I purchased have had a great deal of fat inside of them. Not around the outside, but the majority of the interior. Pure, white fat and only about 5% meat around the outer edges of the slices. The slices on the outside of the package (visible part of the package) were "normal", however, after getting in a few slices, it was all waste. What happened to an otherwise great product?

I have purchased these small boneless sliced hams several times in the past and they have been excellent. Very tender, tasty and very little fat. The one I most recently purchased on 11/03/21 was very, very poor quality. Large strips of fat on every slice. I had to cut out and discard at least 1/3 of it. The remaining meat was not tender or tasty. Photo shows some of the fat cut off, example of 3 slices with fat removed, and remaining slices. Perhaps Sams has changed their source. If I could give it a zero, I would.

I purchased two of these in a pickup order. They were each $20+ (higher than the stated average of $15). BOTH of them had wide ribbons of fat around the outside as well as some in the middle and tough, narrow strips of white (tendon?) that couldn't be chewed. After trimming all the inedible parts, I had less than half of what I started with. These were all oddly sized and shaped pieces which is not the look I had hoped for to serve to guests. Worse still, even those carefully trimmed pieces were marbled with tough, stringy parts.

Always amazing except for this last time purchased around July 2025 everyone got sick on this ham. I have been purchasing this ham for over three years now it is amazing and taste and much healthier than deli ham… We will continue to buy it, but we are waiting till after September when we know this batch of hams are gone. As we’ve tried to reach out to the company and and just said bring it back .

This ham is delicious! It has very little fat content and tasty cold or warmed. I always break down the package when I get it home and divide it into at least four bags, three of which I put into the the freezer. It taste just as fresh after thawing.

Usually lean & better for sandwiches than lunch meat ham.
