Potatoes

Perfect as potatoes can be and they were delivered. I worry a bit when I have any fresh food delivered.

Very good potatos

The potatos were exactly what they were stated as. These are great for using to make a variety of potato products!

Great Price

This is my second purchase of these and I like them very much. I like the health advantages of the gold potato over the russets and don't want to give up potatoes completely. I mostly use them fried but have made a few baked when they are large enough.

Potatoes not fresh

The potatoes were not fresh. I saw that they had eyes on them in the store. The box of potatoes in the store was low. I should have not purchased them. I think these bags of potatoes were the bottom of the barrel. They grew more eyes at home. The potatoes also did not soften during cooking. These are usually very tasty and are a good value. I will check for eyes next time.

Sadly disappointed

Most products from Sam’s are excellent, however this bag of golden potatoes was a total disappointment. Many of them, although they look good from the outside, are rotten on the inside with black areas in the middle, up to 1/3 of the potato. So by the time you cut out all the bad parts your cost savings is gone and they end up more expensive than other brands.

Good and Golden

These golden potatoes are delicious as fluffy mashed potatoes, wedged potatoes or fried potatoes. There are often things to cut out like a green potato, for instance or a bad spot, etc. But the price is right, so we keep getting them. Some are smaller and others are larger. Since Covid especially it seems like it's harder to find nice potatoes.

Chrissy Teigen Smashed Potatoes wanted (learned...

Good enough 1 week later. I had a hankering for some Smashed Potatoes I read about in a Chrissy Teigen Cravings cookbook. After buying I learned that the recipe called for yukon and that yukon is like a half white/half yellow potato. Should produce really get a 1-star deduction because you need to throw at least 1 out due to rot a few days later in addition to more or less normal trimming to prep to cook?
