Berries Mold In Days

I have purchased these berries for years. But, despite refrigeration (37f), if I do not eat them in a day or two they mold over with a greyish white mold and become inedible. I tried everything to stop the mold I know is coming, from salt water washes to vinegar, but nothing stop this mold. These berries should come with a little packet of material that resolves this issue.

Rotten Food

BLACKBERRIES: On SEVERAL occasions, berries in general have been sliding down hill over the past year with edible quality in fruit. With my Jan. 2-2025 standard bi-weekly order, l 2 pkgs. blackberries AND 2 pkgs. blueberries arrived. All 4 containers were loaded with rotten, thick, mildew leaving barely 1/3 of blackberries and 1/3 blueberries remained edible. Fruit isn't a fair price any longer and I find it unfit that Sams Club displays food in this condition to sell and we patrons are forced to deal with loss of food to put into our mouths. I truly don't have time to type a review for each item that is rotten upon arrival, thus I'm also mentioning: fresh ROTTEN brussel sprouts, fresh ROTTEN tomatoes, Pumpkin Crumb Cake 3 DAYS OLD, HARD AS A BRICK, TASTES LIKE SAWDUST! Cakes are to be MOIST WITH GREAT FLAVOR; NOT WHAT ARRIVED AT MY DOOR STEP. There's more but probably nothing will be addressed anyway...SHAME ON YOU SAMS CLUB FOR SELLING ROTTEN SPOILED FOOD ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS AND SUPER POORLY PREPARED DESERTS!

Quality is terrible

I buy these on a regular basis whenever they are in stock. Sometimes they are as big as your thumb and extremely tasty. Yesterday I purchased 2 containers, and the blackberries are tiny and tasteless! Yes tasteless. It is like eating nothing. Very disappointed. I am sure Driscoll would want to know about this quality issue as well. Won't be purchasing curbside ever again. If I can't snag one and taste it first, I will no longer buy them.

Moldy

It seems like once Sam's started with the cold rooms instead of the refrigerated case, the blackberries mold very quickly. I bought two packs today and had to throw away so many. The top layer looks good but once you really start looking or get to the bottom you find all the mold. It's a shame because they used to be consistently good.

Tastes of Chemicals/Pesticides 3 out of 4

The first batch I picked up were delicious. A couple of weeks later, I bought another carton. This time, the taste was so strong of chemicals or pesticides that I took them back. A week ago, I decided to try again in hopes of getting that sweet batch that I had purchased the first time. Along with the Blackberries (2 cartons), I purchased a Member's Mark Cheesecake and planned to add the blackberries to the top of the cheesecake for Thanksgiving dinner. No dice. Once again, the chemical/pesticides taste. My family tried it as well and had the same reaction. The second carton of blackberries were at home. When I returned, and tasted them, they too were bad. I'm so very disappointed as the first carton was incredibly delicious and brought back childhood memories of picking blackberries.

Blackberries full of mold

I purchased 3 containers of blackberries through curbside pickup on 11/15/21. I inspected my fruit when I made it home. Of the 3 containers, only 1 was good. Blackberries are too expensive. Employees should inspect food before giving to customers. I have thrown away $17. I will be sticking to non perishables when ordering curbside. May stop it all together. Do better SAM'S

Molded Berries

I was super excited for these fresh blackberries, but sadly, this is the second batch I've gotten from my location that had mold on them when I started to wash them. I have gotten other berries like raspberries and strawberries before, and they have been fine. It seems to be just the blackberries I have had issues with in the past and now. I got them again because I was hoping it was only a one-time thing and that I just picked a bad batch before, but I now have had to throw away another batch.

disappointed

This was the first time I used the curbside pickup at sams I have to say big big big disappointment. My blackberries were molded (very visible mold). The slim Jim’s were so old they are hard as a rock. Don’t know that I will use this services ever again

Molded and discusting

Don't do pickup for produce. Sams shoppers give me all the oldest expired food. I've had to throw away so much produce and other items like, damaged bottle of dressing with a split lid and both outer and inner seal gone. bbq sauce smashed bottles, cut my thumb on can good so dented.

almost always moldy

my kid loves blackberries, so I almost always buy these, probably once a week, but for the past few months I've been getting moldy blackberries or crushed ones. I use the pick up service, so it's very frustrating when I get home and see yet again a moldy pack of $8 blackberries that I cant use.
