Solid batteries that I can trust

I have purchased 2 of the group size 34/78 dual-terminal Duracell batteries over the past 2 years, both of which work just great. In addition, I have purchased 2 other group sizes as well, with them also being perfect experiences. To date, I have not had to return any of them, though I appreciate the 3 year replacement warranty at Sam's, as it gives me confidence and peace of mind. I will continue to purchase Duracell batteries from Sam's Club in the future, without hesitation.

Allow a lot of time at Sam’s Auto

They never have enough staff at the desk; they are slow and show no hustle

Batteries fine, purchase experience needs work

Batteries seem fine, on par with auto store "premium" batteries at a better price. Issue is the never-staffed auto department desk. Let us get our core refunds at the general customer service desk so we don't have to wait 25 minutes for someone to come to the desk.

Having issue with negative screaw

The battery terminal broke the bolt off so I am going to have to bring it back. It is a pain to get contact to start the vehicle. I am not 100% it is not the bolts fault yet

Dead in 8 months

This is the 2nd battery that died in 8 months . There is something seriously wrong with these automotive batteries. The voltage is about 12.40 to 12.8 but when under load the voltage drops very low. I removed the battery and recharged over night to 12.95 volts . I let it set another day on my work bench . Before installing it I tested the voltage again , it was 11.2 volts. It could not hold a charge Sam's club tested it as said it was good just needed a charge . When picked up the next day the voltage was low again, Sam's club said would would replace on warranty ,but there is no barriers I stock of this type. it's been over a week now. The first battery did the exact same thing it was AGM. All This time I thought there was bad circuit in my truck drawing more power than needed. I tested all circuits for current draw ,turns out it's these batteries both of them had the same exact problem. This one also could not start the truck it was strange like my truck was out of gas , but sounded nothing like a bad battery turns out it was the battery.

My choice for a dual battery vehicle.

I purchased is dual terminal battery for $135 on June 26th 2020. The date sticker was 6/20. It started to fail in August 2021. It no longer keeps a charge. I searched for any other possibility before I narrowed the problem to the 78DT. A different 78 has no problem keeping a charge. The 78DT charges up and then starts the truck, but the next morning, it barely moves the starter. Sam's Club does not have any in stock, so I must modify their free replacement to accommodate the additional regulator for the remote battery. This has been very time consuming. I don't anticipate purchasing this brand of car battery in the future. When I switch to the older battery, it starts immediately. the

This undependable battery makes me nervous.

I've had good luck over the years with these batteries from Sam's Club for my classic cars (3 Cadillacs-1970, 1976, and 1990). Purchased this one in July of 2023, and it only lasted 6 months (Jan. 2024). Would not hold a charge. Interior lights come on, but soon as I turn the key to start, only one crank & lights go out and nothing but silence. (Yes, I have a new alternator and starter in the car...) Sam's replaced the battery with a new one, but this event makes me nervous; am I going to get stuck out somewhere with a classic Cadillac that won't start? Duracell, you need to "up your game" and go back to making dependable batteries like you used to!
