60,000 mile tire, 60,000 miles driven.

I put a set of four on my 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour on Sept. 2015. At 60,000 miles today, not quite at the top of the wear bars but getting close. With winter approaching, looking to replace this set with the same model. Pretty sure this same tire model was also the factory set and drove 60,000 miles on those too. I do take good care of my vehicle including tire pressure and rotation and wheel alignment. Tread doesn’t look aggressive but never had a bad experience in snow. Great wet weather traction. Only “complaint” is that they are a bit noisy on the highway and minor bumps in the road are like drumbeats.

Not a Pilot Exalto A/S, replacement...

If you the average idiot driver, these tires are good, B+ grade. I am an active driver who really likes to drive. I drive at or around the speed limit, up to 10 over. I don't slow for the turns. I buy Micheline's because I have very high exceptions. I expected, Pilot Exalto A/S - good, and I got a watered down compromise, that's just OK - but not as good as the no longer available, Pilot Exalto A/S. The Pilot Exalto A/S were OK, not grate, an A-. They gave a planted, heavy feel, that was consistent through a fast turn. The Premiers, feel like there inclined to over-steer, then follow up to feel like there beginning to under steer.

Wearing too fast

These Premier A/S was on my 2017 Pacifica we bought closer to 2018. We only use it during thr months of Nov to March about 3000kms at the most per season as we have after market wheels and tires during the other months. So pretty much 9000kms and it is probably already worn down to 50% left tread on it. I have been loyal to Michelin tires and always pay the premium. In fact my snow tires are Michelin and my other car also has Michelin snow tires. I must say this has not lived up to Michelin's reputation.

Worn out early

Long time Michelin customer, many sets. 3 years 8 months ago we bought a set of Premier tires for our 2011 Chevrolet Malibu. 31000 miles later tread depth is at 5/32. Almost worn out with only half the warranty miles on them. Always have had a lot of miles on my Michelin’s, never wore out a set, had to replace them due to weather checking. Will still recommend Michelin’s, just not the Premier

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Silversmith. We would recommend getting a tire inspection at an authorized dealer. Please have the dealer contact us at 866-866-6605 to report their findings.

Glad to have Michelin Tires!

I was FINALLY able to get a new set of Michelin Premier A/S 205/50R17 93V on my Chevy Sonic LTZ Hatchback and boy do they feel fantastic! Living in the Pacific northwest, these tire do as advertised by griping the wet roads especially when taking winding turns through the hills and valleys. They are also much quieter than my last set of tires and I've noticed that on my front-wheel drive, they don't slip when accelerating from a stop on wet highways like my last tires. I've only had these new tires for a few weeks so I can't give my assessment on their wear-life. The ONLY downside was that there isn't a local Michelin dealer where I live and I had to drive about 15 extra miles to the next town. But it was well worth it! I'll definitely look into purchasing Michelins when I get ready to buy a new set of snow tires!

Only 33000 out of 60000 miles

I bought this 4 tires Oct, 2017 with 60000 miles warranty. I drove 33000 miles during last 4 year 10 months. The tires are completely out. To receive warranty, you have to rotates every 7000 miles. I rotated twice, about every $11000. This voided warranty.

Chun, we see that you are frustrated. The mileage warranty does require recorded rotations. We want to get more information and help with this issue. One of our team members will be in touch via email.

GREAT - Everything I expected

Within the first 24 hours of having this tire on my Subaru Sport Limited I experienced dry pavement, wet pavement and snow/slush & ice. This tire is EXCELLENT and doing everything I expected. I purchased this tire primarily for Handling & Traction and in the above conditions it has given me a 5 star performance.

short life

less than two years and only 19,000 miles into my lease, my dealer said I would need new tires before the next oil change especially since winter is coming. At first I didn't believe him but on checking they are close to the wear bar. Cannot believe I have to replace tires with only about 13,000 miles left on the lease. So now I have to look for something cheaper in tires with the same ratings so I don't return the Equinox with better tires than I started with. I've had Michelin tires before without this problem. Never will buy this model again.

We understand the Premier A/S tires on your Equinox did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

4.75 Stars Out Of 5 '01 VW Jetta TDI

I have been a Michelin tire rider since I first became an auto technician in the late '70's. Since 2001 I have had the MXV4s, another MXV4s, The MXV4-S8, the Primacy tires, and February '15. I purchased the Premier A/S. I wasn't totally sold on them because I really was looking to purchase the Pilot A/S3, but the Pilot's are not made in the 195/65R15 size, so I bought the Premier A/S. Wet conditions have improved. Smooth transitioning from the smooth to rough road surfaces, extremely low noise and hard stopping is great. My only complaint is the fuel mileage dropped from 50mpg to 48mpg, but I can live with that. '01 VW TDI 285K miles.

Horrible tread life

2021 Pacifica purchased in Feb of '21. Live in Northeast, so see all the weather. Had OEM Michelin Premier A/S Tires on it and only got 18,000 miles out of them before they were toast. We drive around town, commute to work, a few modest road trips - nothing crazy, and after 18,000 they were dangerous to drive on. All maintenance and rotations completed. The tires are simply horrible. No warranty for OEM tires? So it's known they are horrible?? Great to know you won't stand behind your product, says a lot. If you purchase a vehicle with these, start putting some money away for new tires, you're gonna need it.
