Because I am a side sleeper and have shoulder problems, I went to local retail mattress providers to test various products. Hands down, the best mattress for me is the Stearns and Foster Lux Hybrid-firm. I love my mattress, no shoulder pain and I highly recommend this mattress. Don't let the firm mislead you, try it out. This mattress provide the perfect level of support in firmness and comfort.

Nothing seems to be out of place when you move around and it's sturdy but soft enough. Hard to explain but we're glad we got it now and can look forward to great night sleep everytime.

If you're like me, you had enough of our 10+ year old mattress and wanted something that will last. This is the mattress. After 3 back surgeries and continuing back problems for many years, I had accepted waking every morning with back pain. And then I slept on a Stearns and Foster luxe mattress while visiting a family member . For the first time, I awoke with NO back pain. I couldn't believe it! In the end, after talking directly with a company representative, I ordered the higher reserve model, and I'm glad I did. This bed has been exceptional since it arrived. I tried other well known mattresses for years, that required special sheets, and had bulky platforms. None of them even come close to this magnificent bed. The platform is compact, and any deep pocket sheet fits perfectly. Iis expensive, but worth every penny. Given how much of our lives are spent sleeping, it is an investment in your health that is well worth making. I awake refreshed and ready for the day. Finally, when we got this Stearns Foster mattress, we found our match. I read reviews each time I bought each mattress. Not sure what to say except the first two - which were also not inexpensive - were just not comfortable. They were so uncomfortable that I was roaming from one bed to the couch and back. When we got this Stearns and Foster bed, I stopped roaming and slept through the night without aching in the morning. I wish we would have bought this first, but at least I'm glad we kept looking instead of giving up. We bought this hybrid, medium mattress with the base and I don't think we'll ever buy another brand now that we've found a comfortable bed. We'll worth the cost. Five stars.

I debated about going with the PT soft or firm, and decided to try the soft and it is perfect, especially with the builtin Temperpedic memory foam adding perfect comfort and an amazing nights sleep... I've slept on many mattresses in my life. This thing is amazing. I'm the average American male size - 5'9" 190lbs. With other top of the line memory foam mattresses they were comfortable however, I would sweat too much. With this mattress in the same room, I never wake up in a pool of sweat. In fact since purchasing this mattress, I hardly ever wake up in the middle of the night at all. I'm much more rested getting up every morning than I ever was prior. This is worth the premium over the competition, especially if you have a demanding job and must get up everyday ready to perform at the highest levels - YOU NEED THIS AND NOTHING LESS!
