[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OG coffee, the one and only best coffee there is always fresh and strong. Packaging is awesome. Great flavor. Great value. Brews amazing. Best hot in my opinion.

The best part of waking up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm the person who NEEDS coffee when they wake up and Folgers has been my go to for 20 years. It's rich without being bitter. The smell when you open the can or brew a pot is happiness.

Let's do the math

Great coffee, we've been using it for years. This morning I decided to do the math on how much it costs to make a pot. We have a Keurig that has a traditional 12 cup drip and a k-cup maker in one unit. I use 4 heaping 1/8 cup scoops to make a 12-cup pot. I weighed the filter with coffee and it weighed 37 grams. I weighed a filter by itself and it was less than a gram. The current product has 1230 grams of coffee for $19 and will make about 33 pots as I make it. That comes to 57cents per pot. The current price for K cups at Sams is 33-52 cents for 8 grams of coffee, at best less than 1/4 of a pot. By weight of coffee, the same Folgers in k-cups would cost about $77. Members mark Donut Shop would be $50.

Not currently the best part of waking up.

Folger's has always been my go-to good coffee, because I loved the taste and could always depend on it. I try different kinds and enjoy some, but I know I can always come back to something reliable. I recently bought a small can last week and I do not recognize the taste as Folger's. It reminds me more of MH, which I do not enjoy. I see in replies from the company to these reviews that classic roast hasn't changed, but *something* has definitely changed. I thought I had made it too weak, so I made it stronger, but the overall taste is completely different, regardless of brew strength. The normal Folger's aroma during brewing is also completely absent.

Changed recipe, burnt wood filler taste

Their recipe has changed. It has a strong burnt wood ash like flavor. have been drinking Folger's classic blend for 20+ years, but this winter the recipe changed and it tasted awful. Thought perhaps it was a one off container or batch, so purchased another container at a different store, and it too had this terrible taste. Personally, it tastes like they're adding a wood pulp to off set the weight and cost of beans to keep the price low. It's understandable, but it negated my brand loyalty and will no longer purchase this. Have gone to grinding beans, much better. If you have the same experience, it would be nice to read.

Goodbye Folgers

I have been drinking Folgers coffee for 50 years. This new blend of cheap crap they’re calling coffee tastes horrible. I am in no position to be throwing food or beverage out, but I have two full cans of Folgers Classic and I’m thinking about throwing them out and trying Dunkin’ Donuts or Maxwell House. Anything is better than this. I guess it’s back to Lipton tea for now.

Folders classic roast

The last 2 containers of Folger Classic Roast, have been bad. Something has changed ,no longer smells or taste good. This is the only brand I have used for years , but I will be finding a new brand until you go back to doing things the way you use to .
