I’ve been using Folgers classic roast for year but the last two containers I’ve purchased have had a bizzare smell and taste. I thought the first container had just gone bad but the brand new one does too. The smell is hard to describe but I’d say it’s kind of a bitter, acrid smell. I didn’t change place of purchase, storage method, or anything else.

Two years ago, winters storms and power outages blanketed Texas and most of us lost water as well. Since I always have tons of bottled water and coffee stocked up, I pulled out my camp gas grill and percolator and started making coffee (we only drink Folgers Classic). Knowing everyone was stuck at home without power/water, I just kept brewing coffee, filling up every thermos, and walked around door to door passing out coffee throughout my neighborhood. Two years later and I still run into people who remembered how good the coffee was and asking what kind of coffee it was. Thanks to the great taste of Folgers Classic, we all found a silver lining during that horrific storm.

I used to use a Keurig for my coffee. Then it got expensive and then I switched to a regular coffee maker. When I switched to the regular coffee maker, I started off using Maxwell House. That stuff was horrible, I don't know what they did to their coffee. Needless to say, I decided to try Folger's. I didn't realize what I was missing after the first sip. From that day on, I will only drink Folger's. I don't even drink any of those fancy coffee house coffees or specially blended coffees. Just give me a good old cup of Folger's from the red can. Your coffee is the smoothest and easiest on the stomach. Keep up the great coffee work.

Classic is my favorite. I have a friend who travels all over the world and negotiates contracts for coffee beans for his business. He buys, roast and sells fresh coffee beans. I've tried supporting him and drank so many different kinds of coffee I've lost count. To me, Folgers is the best coffee in the world. For 40+ years I have always kept a can of Folgers in my refrigerator. If I brewed a pot of other brands I would end up dumping it out and brew me a fresh pot of Folgers. Nothing compares!!! Folgers is as much a part of my family as my parents are. My mother brewed Folgers every morning on the stove with a percolator. The smell and taste of Folgers is one of the most precious memories of my childhood. After 53 years I still wake up to Folgers brewing in my kitchen thanks to the invention of automatic coffee pots. Every once in a while I'll get out the old percolator and brew a fresh pot of Folgers like my mother did for so many years.

My husband just went out to buy a second can of folders classic roast this morning because the first tasted so bad. Acidic, bitter, stale. The second can was from a different store. Same result. We have been drinking Folgers for 30 years! I came on here looking to contact you and saw that everyone has the same complaints recently.

I always have been drinking this kind of coffee for sometime now,I've not had any issues with drinking this coffee.The first thing I do beside washing my face or brushing my teeth is to make some Folgers Coffee in the morning.the aroma when you open up this coffee smell so good that not before you start making this coffee,this coffee's smell so good IT'S SIMPLY AMAZING with a capital A,THANKS for making this amazing coffee......

I have been drinking Folgers since I was a young boy on a small goat farm in california. If you wanted to stay warm, this was what we had. from that time on, I grew to appreciate how good Folgers really was, and drink it daily still. When I pull off the seal of a new can of coffee, the smell takes me back to those cold mornings on the farm. I own a large company in Los Angeles now, and we only use folgers coffee for our company. Thank you for all the years of great coffee!!

I work nights as a nurse and I start every day with a hot cup of Folger’s coffee. I don’t “fancy” my coffe up with creamer or sugar. There is nothing like that first cup of Folger’s coffee of the day. It sets everything in the right direction for a great day. There are two things you don’t substitute at the market. A quality toilet paper and your Folger’s coffee. Thank y’all for being the best part of my Every Day!

i am over 50 and have been drinking this for most of my life. the only problem i have is when the packages went from steel cans to plastic the coffee seemed to become a little bitter and i cant store my bacon fat in plastic. but it is still the best out there.

I buy Folgers classic roast religiously for years. I rec’d a tub with best before Dec 25 2025. The coffee smells weird and tastes like an ashtray with the worst aftertaste. I picked up another today. Best before Dec 8 2025 so a younger can. It is as expected. Wonderful. I wondered if I got a bad batch but now reading these comments I’m concerned my good can is a one off. Seeing it was produced prior to my bad can.
