Very tasty root beer with lots of carbonation and frothy foam. Great with ice cream for root beer floats!

There was an A&W Root Beer drive in near us when I was a kid. Nothing will taste like the ice cold drinks served in those frosted mugs, but I was very pleased with this bottled product. Yes, I usually am using it for root beer floats, but keep some chilled at all times to enjoy. And, yes, I agree that it should always be cold, but never over ice.

I recently noticed on your A&W Root Beer labels that there is no longer "aged vanilla"! Has this been eliminated or is it part of the "natural ingredients"? If it HAS been taken out then A&W is just another root beer in my humble opinion. What SHOULD be taken out of your ingredient list is HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP which is detrimental to our health (as you should know by now)!

My grandfather, with his old world Bavarian accent, would teach us boys to never put ice into root beer because it cuts the flavor to be savored. My father's root beer was off limits to us kids and shared with us as a treat only. I have fond memories of getting frosty mugs of cold root beer at the drive-ins in my youth. I get a kick hearing my boys request root beer without ice just as Grandpa preached. I've seen generations enjoy the fine craft of good root beer. A&W exemplifies the quality expected with our fine tradition of truly enjoying great root beer.

This has been my favorite Root Beer for many years, and I am particularly pleased that Citric Acid hasn't been added to the formula. Almost all of the other Root Beers contain that ingredient now. I think it's just a cheap way to add a tartness that pretends to be "taste." But, in my opinion, drinks containing it are far less drinkable.

I have been drinking A&W for most of my life and I'm 63. I don't buy anything else when I want a rootbeer. There's no other taste that matches it, because I have tried a few and no, not for me. Especially cold, with ice cream, or whatever. I will never change!

From the first time I drank it I just feel in love with it and now it's the only thing I drink. My wife gives me heck about it because she said the she heard that it's one of the worst sodas to drink and it's bad for my health. Well if it is I hope it's the very last thing that I drink before I die. I even recommend it to all my friends and now I've got some of them drinking it all the time as well.

I have loved A&W Root Beer since I was a child, and we always looked for your restaurants when traveling. We knew we would enjoy a great meal and this would be together with an Ice Cold Mug of A&W!! I am a diabetic now, but I love and can enjoy Diet A&W whenever I want - it is a fabulous product. Thank you for selling this refreshing, wonderful beverage - bravo A&W !!

The classics just never get old. I have always been a root beer fan. In fact, my first words were "root beer." But I had never tried "A and W root beer" until a few weeks ago and I have not been able to stop drinking it. Just cant go back to the other brands. The classics just never do get old do they? But I still got 1 question... What do the A and W stand for??? Don't know if we'll ever know that but this is some dang good Root Beer!
