There is way too much millet in this seed. It attracts a lot of sparrows. I seperate the millet from the seed before filling the feeders. Huge pain, but keeps the sparrows away. The bag I just purchased contains no safflower seeds at all. The package states that it contains safflower seeds. Why don't you leave the millet out of the ingredients instead of the safflower seeds?

The product description clearly states raisins, although I still missed this somehow. I filled up three of my feeders and never noticed the raisins. My dogs ate some of the fallen bird seed in the backyard and I noticed seeds and raisins in their vomit. I have no idea how I missed that it contained them. Raisins can kill a dog. Please pay attention and don't buy if you have dogs.

This item does NOT state there is millet in the mix. It states sunflower seed, peanuts and raisins. I did not find any raisins at all. I put it out in one of my feeders to see how it would do. The woodpeckers go after it because of the peanuts, but I watched them spit out the rest of the food. It is a waste in my mind and the seeds that will end up in my garden below are guaranteed to make a lot of weeds. The price is great, but I can't say anything else good about it. I would not have purchased it because millet usually attracts blackbirds as well and we have too many of them around. Very disappointed and think they should state ALL the ingredients.

I had looked at bird feed previously at my local Sam's Club and wasn't impressed. Happened to check again recently and they had this Valley Splendor Supreme. Took a bag home and was very impressed with the quality of seed and lack of fillers and corn. I usually bought two or three different kinds to get a mix I liked which got expensive. This is a great product and value which I hope Sam's continues to carry.

Beware ! if you store this bag of Sam's "supreme blend bird seed" in your home as I DID your home will be infested with moths ! The bag I purchased was full of worms/larvae and you end up with a moth factory !! I would not recommend this product to anyone !! If you do ya better purchase a Salt Gun !! No quality control from Sam's,I guess they don't believe in discarding a contaminated batch !!!

The bird food is fine. However, since there's no where to leave delivery and packaging feed back, I'll leave it here. I've ordered bird feed shipped before and not an issue as it's just wrapped in a plastic sheath and shipped. This time, the feed came via FedEx and arrived in a box. The bag was busted open at the bottom seam with about 2lbs of feed loose in the shipping box. I was able to recover the feed but that's not acceptable. This isn't the first time that Sam's warehouse has had an issue packing and shipping items in a way to survive the journey. It's really frustrating to receive busted bags and beat up cat food cans.

The birds have left my feeder after I filled it with this seed. I found Morning Song bird seed (Sam's Club previously carried Morning Song) at another store. Now that my feeder has Morning Song bird seed, the cardinals and the prettier songbirds have returned. I will not be purchasing Valley Splendor seed from Sam's.

This is a very good-value birdseed that attracts a wide variety of birds to my feeders. It contains none of the milo, etc type fillers that birds don't eat. The only ingredient that keeps me from giving it a solid 5-star rating is the addition of calcium/grit which ends up building up in the bottom of the feeders. The birds don't seem to eat it.

I bought this starting this year and was amazed what wsa mixed in. Birds keep coming of all kinds including Tit mouse, yellow and purple finches, cardinals, blue jays (but lesser), downy woodpeckers, large woodpecker, squirrels, blue birds occassionally who typically eat bugs, rose brested grossbeak, crows of course til I scare them, others...Surprised they mixed in raisens and nuts. A good amount of sun flower which was the sole food before until the price shot thru the roof. Maybe Sams can carry an all sunflower brand too. I use an old oatmeal container to fill my 2 tube feeders with one container so I don't drag anything anywhere....be creative.

I have been a Sam's Club member for over 26 years and this may be the worst product and biggest disappointment purchase I have made there. This was supposed to be A high quality product with a premium price, but the majority of the bag is millet seed. The other types of bird seed were scarce. Thankfully, Sam's has an excellent return policy and this is going back.
