This is one of the better bird seed blends that we have found. Our birds come from all over to eat and don't reject it. Other blends have seed in it that birds here don't like. Our Sam's had a pallet that went fast so we ordered online. The price is right. We bought 2 bags to get us through the year.

Hello: I've been buying Valley Splendor Supreme Bird Seed from Sam's Club for several years but am very disappointed with my last two 40-Lb bag purchases, both bought at different times within the last six months. Both were loaded with gypsy moth larvae and adult moths. I've tried to get rid of the larvae by putting the bags out in the hot sun all day, but that didn't do any good. Apparently the tiny eggs are very resistant. I filled my two large Droll Yankee bird feeders with the seed anyway, after picking out as many larvae as I could see, hoping the birds would still eat the seed, but the decaying remains of the eggs, hatched larvae and associated fine webbing messed the bird seed and the feeder up so badly that the birds wouldn't eat the food. I ended up throwing about half of the first bag and all of the second bag away, in addition to having to take my feeders apart and scour them out. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Also, I thought you would want to be made aware of the problem.

We have been using this brand of bird food for approximately 2 years. I love the blend but over the past 6 months the "trash" has more than doubled. I expect some "trash" but certainly not what I have been finding in this product. I have sent my concerns to the manufacturer and have not even received any response from them at all. I am very disappointed and will start shopping around. I prefer not to pay for sticks, bark and twigs.

The birds have left my feeder after I filled it with this seed. I found Morning Song bird seed (Sam's Club previously carried Morning Song) at another store. Now that my feeder has Morning Song bird seed, the cardinals and the prettier songbirds have returned. I will not be purchasing Valley Splendor seed from Sam's.

Beware ! if you store this bag of Sam's "supreme blend bird seed" in your home as I DID your home will be infested with moths ! The bag I purchased was full of worms/larvae and you end up with a moth factory !! I would not recommend this product to anyone !! If you do ya better purchase a Salt Gun !! No quality control from Sam's,I guess they don't believe in discarding a contaminated batch !!!

This was a very good product until the mix was changed. It now is full of the White Milo which few feeder birds will eat. It seems that most of the Millet was replaced with the Milo. Visually it looks the same until you look closely and realize it's not. What other reviewers are saying is true. I will no longer be purchasing this product, too bad, it was very good until the change.

I hate the raisins and so do the birds. The raisins clump together and clog up the holes in the bird feeder. When it's warm outside, they get gooey and it's difficult to remove them. The birds don't eat the raisins even when I put them separately on the feeder tray. When I fill the feeder, I have to pick out the raisins, and it's a hassle! Otherwise, it's a good birdseed without a lot of filler at a good price. However, I don't think I'll buy it again.

I bought this product in a 40 Lb bag and after filling my feeders with it, I didn't have many birds coming to it. They don't like it as well as other foods I've bought. The biggest complaint is too much trash and lots of sand / gravel in it. I would dare to say, that it has 20% trash and probably, the sand is 15% of the weight of the bag. I've filled out a complaint at the manufactures web site at valleysplendor.com and it wouldn't even let me submit it after trying to 5 times. So called and left messages with no return phone call. I called Sam's and they said to bring it in and get a refund. I will not buy this again.

Excellent quality value and price.I have already recommended it to my friends at work and will be buying alot of this.I checked it side by side with the other at Sams that went up so much in price and there was no difference ,this may be better because it has lots of fruits too.All the birds in my yard love it.

Excellent blend. Draws all kinds of birds including turkeys and pigeons who eat what falls from the bird feeder to the ground. Always an interesting sight! The quality of the Supreme Blend seed is easy to see compared to my previous supermarket purchases.
