I was reluctant at first to buy a big mixed bag like this. I usually buy the expensive food from Wild Birds Unlimited. But they didn't mind that this was cheaper - they ate the whole bag in just a few weeks!

I’ve used this for years and liked the quality of the mix. No big waste seeds like milo or wheat. But the price shot up 6+ dollars, which is crazy. I am not willing to pay that price.

The bird food attracts many varieties of birds. They seem to enjoy it and keep coming back. So far it has attracted cardinals, blue jays, doves, red wing blackbirds, sparrows, lazuli buntings, house finch and American goldfinch.

Tha birds and squirrels love it! They eat more than 2 bags a week. (Which I truly can't afford, but they really need help.) Especially in the winter. So far this is the best quality for the price. Great stuff!

I didn't put much stock in the other reviews' claims of gravel in Valley Splendor Wild Bird Feed. Lo and behold I found it. Almost like kitty litter and it builds up and clogs the troughs of bird feeders. Birds stopped coming. Not until mixing in another type of bird seed with the Valley Splender did ANY return, and not the variety of birds that I had before. Now all I see is a flock of PineSiskins or some HouseFinch, with Dove picking through the grass below feeders. Kinda boring after awhile. I'll be glad when I get rid of it and will not be buying again. All birdseed is not created equal (as I once thought)!

The birds (doves, cardinals, finches, house wrens & robins).that normally come to our feeder dont seem to care for this food. They generally empty this 4 compartment feeder we have and now it's going for days with very little being eaten. Disappointed.

The last 40lb bag from Sam's had a green, blue and white label and the birds loved it. I got this bag this time and I notice it is mostly sunflower seeds. Maybe this attracts a different bird but I used to have a constant flow of birds around my feeder, at all times of day. My office looks out at the feeder so I am regularly watching. Now, with this purple-label bag, I just don't get many birds. Sure, I get some, but it is significantly fewer than before.

I bought the Member's Mark Supreme Blend Wild Bird Feed to see if my songbirds would eat it. I put the Member's Mark Supreme Blend Wild Birdfeed out and within a couple of days the birds were eating it and my squirrels were liking it also. Excellent blend, Thank You.

I have a window feeder on the south side of my home (I'm in South Florida). It took approximately 3 weeks before I noticed any activity. At present, I only have blue jays eating at this feeder...I don't mind it at all as some people have a problem with the jays. They only visit briefly just before sun up and very late afternoon and their visits are less than 30 seconds.

I am very disappointed in the amount of millet in this bag. too much waste, and the birds won't eat it. also, the black oil sunflower seeds are of low quality. I definitely would not recommend this product for the price. you'd be better off buying separate sunflower seeds and safflower seeds and mixing your own
