I had good luck with indoor clips last year and was excited to see an outdoor line, which I thought would allow me to put strings of mini-lights around my windows without using nails or otherwise causing damage. I followed the installation instructions carefully, but the adhesive does not stick to the aluminum cladding around the windows. Nearly all the clips popped off when I tried to install mini light strings. Temp at the time was around 45F. A waste of money.

I bought 3 packs of these to put up my icicle Christmas lights and they were a huge disappointment! I followed the recommendations and was careful to wipe down the surfaces before placing the strips and holders on the house, but in different areas the adhesives were just not sticking. It was very frustrating to get the lights up and in place only to come out and find sections of them had fallen! I even tried using two adhesives to each holder and that didn't work either. I was trying not to put nails into the eves of the house, but ended up having to do just that.

I bought a few packs of these strips so I could hang some lights around the edge of my mothers patio. The lights were just your standard small bulb lights, nothing heavy at all. I spaced them about 1 per every foot then hung the lights. About 2 days later all the clips wouldn't stick anymore and the lights were on the ground. It is the middle of summer but the package says up to 125 F so I'm not sure what the issue was. Oh and I made sure to clean and dry the surface of the metal patio cover before I hung the lights. Disappointed.

The command adhesive held strong against the aluminum and vinyl trim as well as the vinyl siding where needed. Be sure to follow the pre-cleaning instructions to insure the best stick. The porch looked beautiful and clean up took about five minutes after the holidays. I do wish the clip portion was a bit stronger since I broke two of them in careless handling while putting them up. Be careful not to pull on the light string at a forward angle while putting them up. They are inexpensive and all you'll need to repurchase next year is the small adhesive package.

I like that they are clear so you can't see them and focus on the lights/decor. I will definitely be picking up more.

I was looking for clips to hang lights from metal on the edge of our roof. I noticed a lot of very poor reviews for these clips but couldn’t find any other affords options. I went ahead and gave them a try anyway. I followed all the instructions exactly. I’m happy to say the clips have held up wonderfully. Put them up in August of 2022 and the lights are still in place December 2023. We get very cold winters and hot summers in northern Manitoba and every clip has stayed in place. Very happy with my purchase.

I bought two sets of these for outdoor lighting on my patio. The set stuck to my painted metal railing work great--no complaints. The set stuck to painted wood? Absolutely nightmarish. This is the third day I've had to replace strips as they keep falling off--and they're holding the lightest set of lights! I'm almost to the point of tearing them all down and going with finishing nails--which completely invalidates the entire point of buying these. Please keep that in mind if you use this product.

I attached the directly to the wood paneling on the porch and had my lights up in 15 minutes. I was pleased to see that all clips stayed in place all season long. My porch gets a lot of wind and alleged up against the strong gusts. Best of all, when it came time to remove the clips. They came off easy with no damage to the panel surface. I will definitely be using them next year!

I placed them 12 inches apart so there would be plenty of support for the heavy lights and cords. I had to trim them a little with wire cutters to get the thick cord in but they work It’s really good I love it
