[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used these outside to hang garland and Christmas lights. They were installed late November and taken off in January. They held up through below zero temps, snow and high winds. They came off the painted metal surface easily and with no damage.

I had good luck with indoor clips last year and was excited to see an outdoor line, which I thought would allow me to put strings of mini-lights around my windows without using nails or otherwise causing damage. I followed the installation instructions carefully, but the adhesive does not stick to the aluminum cladding around the windows. Nearly all the clips popped off when I tried to install mini light strings. Temp at the time was around 45F. A waste of money.

We attached the clips to the wood. The clips have been holding the lights well, none have fallen or slipped. I recommend the light clips.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I volunteer to evaluate products for 3M, and the company recently sent me a free sample of these outdoor light clips and they are great. I have used other command hooks to try and accomplish hanging up lights but they never held the whole season and didn't hold the lights up well. These clips hold the light strings perfectly and I don't think the clips are going to come down until I take them down. I'm so excited to take my holiday lighting to a whole new level. I look forward to all the new products that 3M comes up with.

As with other Command products the clips went up easily, held the string of lights and removed without a trace. I was kinds of skeptical because of their small size that they would not be able to handle the weight of the lights, but I was surprised to fnd they did exactly what they promised.

I bought a few packs of these strips so I could hang some lights around the edge of my mothers patio. The lights were just your standard small bulb lights, nothing heavy at all. I spaced them about 1 per every foot then hung the lights. About 2 days later all the clips wouldn't stick anymore and the lights were on the ground. It is the middle of summer but the package says up to 125 F so I'm not sure what the issue was. Oh and I made sure to clean and dry the surface of the metal patio cover before I hung the lights. Disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Command Outdoor Light Clips only hold light items for me. Although it says light in the title, I wanted to test a variety of items to see which works best on the clips. Too much weight will definitely cause the clips to fall off the surface. I also tried it on both smooth and rough surfaces; it worked on the smooth surface but not on the rough surface. This may be a problem since the majority of my outdoor area is not smooth, and thus, the clips can only be used in a small selection of places. The clips seem strong, and the strips are easy to apply and remove. However, the strips did not stick very well for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our college-age kids used command strips and loved them so after researching whether we could use them to hang lightweight string lights in a new room, we bought these. Unfortunately, the command strips came off and peeled off a spot of the new paint when the string lights fell down. We used four clips per string of mini-lights. What a disappointment! I would NOT recommend these clips to hang string lights (mini-lights).
