When I tried the mattress in the store it for a firm but yet soft enough for me. When I got a new mattress at home it was hard as a rock and sleeping on it actually hurt my back. I was truly disappointed for spending so much money and not getting what I tried out in the store.

Well, our choice was Firm, and it is. It feels like a bench when you first sit on it, but in a few seconds you sink in just enough to be cradled. A perfect balance of 'no saggy spots' and 'no pressure on shoulders, hips, or knees. The other treat is that when either I or my wife get up (in the night) or first out of bed, the mattress does not move/jiggle. You don't know the other has gone - and you just keep sleeping. Our previous mattresses were top quality, but with springs. This one doesn't flex like that - which is great.

We are loving this mattress. I used to wake up 3 and 4 times a night and never would I sleep later than 4 a.m. Now I am waking up at 7-7:30. Good thing we are retired! The only negative thing I would say is that it is hard to change positions, but being able to sleep all night and get a full night's sleep is wonderful.

At first I was a bit concern because I have never had a firm bed before. I was so use to a soft mattress that I was wondering if I made a mistake...., BUT now, I wished that I made this purchase a lot sooner... My lower back and legs are so happy now...! I sleep so well especially since I work the overnight shift, sleep is essential.... ! I need my sleep to function on my shift. This mattress makes my sleep during the day much easier to get. OMG when I tell you, it's the best night's rest you will ever get, this mattress fits my comfort so well. Other mattresses I have used in the past left my entire body sore the next morning. Now I wake up without pain. I couldn't wait to return from vacay to get in my bed. Oh, what a night I had. The only thing I'm unhappy about is that I did not purchase the one that goes up and down. When looking to upgrade from an older model, I was torn between going medium or a new spring mattress. The hybrid offers the best of both worlds wrapped in Tempur-Pesci' s high quality brand. I can't recommend this model enough to people on the fence between joining the Tempur-pedic family.

Normally, I'm a back sleeper and my old bed gave me problems over the last year. My wife suggested that we invest in other bed because she notice the lack of sleep and back problem I have been suffering over the last year. We did our research over the last couple months and came to conclusion that the TEMPUR-ProAdapt Medium Hybrid was the bed for us. I have been resting much better and my back problem are resolving itself. I'm a big man and would recommend for the guys like me.

My previous mattresses were a Sealy coil/box spring and most recently a Simmons Beauty Rest coil/box spring which I had for almost 10 years . In the last six to eight months with the Simmons, I started feeling back pain as the middle of the mattress started to sag. The first couple of nights on the Tempur-Pedic felt foriegn compared to what I'd been used to for a decade; now that I've been sleeping on it for 10 weeks, I can easily say that it's the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. At first, I wondered if the medium Hybird was too firm, but no; after less than a week, I now sleep very, very good every single night. Yes, Tempur-Pedic mattresses are expensive but they are worth the price, I have no regrets. I work a lot of hours all the time, averaging about 5 1/2-6 hours of sleep 6 of 7 days a week. I needed something really comfortable allowing me to fall asleep quick in the hours I have which is what the Tempur-Pedic offers. Oh yah, I have the pillows too, which are very nice.

Our original tempurpedic lasted 15 years before getting worn. We bought another brand foam mattress at a lower cost. Started having backaches and sciatic nerve issues. After 88 nights returned it and got our new Tempurpedic. Instant relief and felt like our original tempur when it was new. Will never own anything else. These firm mattresses are wonderful.

This was the first time trying a tempur pedic mattress, so I was unsure about how my back would take to it, but it has been the best change. The mattress is firm enough to where you don't sink in, but soft enough to where it kind of molds to the body. It's amazing.
