Not a lot to say about Plainsman leather gloves except that they are well-known to men and women who work with their hands. What is to say is that a pack of two at Sam's beats most other stores in value. The frequent disappearance of one or more of these around our house is hard to explain. However, I've been told that I should have a meaningful discussion with Ozzy, our Australian Cattle Dog about missing leather gloves. I've been back to Sam's for replacements several times for replacements. The missing gloves are known only to Ozzy but will probably show up when the snow melts.

I've purchased these gloves for years and have used them for numerous applications and protection of my hands. I also take them to Greece and give as gifts to our friends and neighbors.

The leather is soft, so you’re not fighting stiff gloves, and they’re comfortable enough to wear for a while without getting annoying. They still feel durable, especially in the palms, and hold up well for yard work or general use. They’re not made for brutal jobs, but for most jobs they work well. Getting two pairs just makes it feel like a good deal. Overall, about an 8.5/10.

I’ve been buying these gloves for years. They are tough, good quality leather gloves that stand up to quite a bit of abuse. Unlike most work gloves that cinch around the wrist, these gloves are really easy to put on and take off without having to mess with some sort of mechanism. I’ve tried other work gloves but keep returning to these. Finally, the price is right.

These gloves are comfortable, they protect your hands well, and you can wash them. I take blood thinners so from time to time when working in the yardI will get a small cut on my arms. The blood goes down into the gloves. When this happens I wash them and hang them to dry for a few days. They come out totally usable like new. I have about 10 pair: in the truck, in the shed, in my tool box, in my house in two places, and on my back patio. I must be careful when moving things because I have "old man skin". These gloves have been wonderful. I have also given pairs to my wife, daughter, and my daughter's husband, and also to my 92 year old step father. We all love them!!!

Love that these are soft and pliable and no break-in necessary to maintain dexterity. However, I've worn a couple pairs out as they're not the "toughest" gloves for heavy duty work. But they're good enough that I have several pairs all over the house, garage, yard, tool totes, tool buckets, etc... for me, they're like reading glasses, I keep a bunch everywhere so when you need a pair, they're close at hand. The price is affordable to be able to have several pairs.

I use these gloves with a long-sleeved jacket when I work with my honeybees. The sizing lets me get gloves that fit and give me better dexterity than my thicker beekeeping gloves, and the bees do not sting my hand through the leather. I do have to make sure I have elastic on my sleeves so the bees don't get to my wrists though.

Good leather gloves. I usually buy Lamont. These are a shade thinner, not sure if it's due to the "cabretta" leather, but about the same price and you're getting 2:1. They wear well.

So far so good. Seems to be working well for me

The first time I wore them hands turned yellow from the dye on the gloves. Washing my hands with soap and water cleaned the yellow off of them.
