[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband has some back pain that seems to feel better when he sleeps on a very firm mattress. We chose this mattress to replace one that was too soft for him. This mattress is very comfortable for both of us. We do not feel each other moving at night and both of us wake up refreshed in the morning. This bed feels comfortable and sturdy and has not yet formed any indentations where we sleep. I was given this bed in exchange for my honest review and I can say we would certainly purchase this mattress again!

Awful. We got it to replace a 20 yr old S&F. This mattress is a work of pure evil. Underneath you is some sort of material that resembles a thin wool blanket. It will keep you very hot. I've tried sleeping on it for 3 nights, I got 3hrs one night and 2 x 5hrs before being woken by furnace like temperatures. How much of that was REM God only knows. If you like to control your body temp and 'security' by way of your own blankets, seriously look elsewhere. You'll likely find that you'll need to pitch your blankets off which in turn will leave that part of your body getting gradually colder. Their sales documentation states that the mattress takes heat away from the sleeper, that's a lie and false advertising.

The overall quality is completely lacking on this mattress; there are pulled threads hanging off all over the pillow top and around the seams where the pillow top is sewed on, and there's at least one (that I've noticed so far) small hole in the fabric - absolutely not up to the level of quality you'd expect for a $3000+ mattress or from Stearns and Foster. And I'm not talking about a thread here or there, there's at least a dozen that I counted before giving up counting...they're literally all over the top of the mattress; the mattress was purchased brand new and delivered about 3 weeks after it's build date on the legal tag - can only assume this is a quality control problem. Functionally the mattress is comfortable and supportive except I notice myself sinking into the pillow top to a level I didn't perceive in the store - not a great sensation for me personally.

It has a smooth plush top that has amazing comfort. After sleeping on it a few nights I noticed I no longer had back and body aches. It felt like it was really sleeping on a cloud of pillows. After 3 back surgeries and continuing back problems for many years, I had accepted waking every morning with back pain. And then I slept on a Stearns and Foster luxe mattress while visiting a family member . For the first time, I awoke with NO back pain. I couldn't believe it! In the end, after talking directly with a company representative, I ordered the higher reserve model, and I'm glad I did. This bed has been exceptional since it arrived. I tried other well known mattresses for years, that required special sheets, and had bulky platforms. None of them even come close to this magnificent bed. The platform is compact, and any deep pocket sheet fits perfectly. Iis expensive, but worth every penny. Given how much of our lives are spent sleeping, it is an investment in your health that is well worth making. I awake refreshed and ready for the day. Thank you Stearns and Foster for such an excellent product!

We've had this mattress 4 weeks today. It is the 2nd S & F mattress. We exchanged a Lux Estate PT for this Estate TT after the first mattress had body indentions after only 1 week! Now, after 4 weeks, this mattress is showing body indentions also! I am petite, 5'2" 112 lb. and my husband is 5'6", 160 lb. So, we are hoping the top will even out but not banking on it. Very disappointed given this is the second mattress and the price of both. Basically, what should be a wonderful experience (getting a new mattress) has turned into a sad experience.

I recently bought a Sterns & Foster Estate Mattress from a major retailer. The first week we had the Mattress we were very happy since it replaced a 23 year old Mattress. At the end of week two we began to see a small sag in the middle of the mattress and it generally got worse over the next ten days. Now mind you myself and my wife weigh a combined 300 pounds so we know it was not a weight issue. Beginning of the fourth week we went back to the retailer with several pictures of the sagging which was now visible by the naked eye. After some haggling with them whether we were using our discomfort reselect we selected a different brand mattress. By our own measurements this mattress developed a 2 1/4 sag within one month of purchasing it from the retailer. I am very surprised this happen with a great American Company which has been around for 150 years. I have numerous photos which I wish I could post to show this obvious manufacturing defect.

I was having aches and pains every morning when I got up. 2 nights on this mattress is all it took! I now get up in the morning with my feet on the floor running. Good bye achy hips and back! I love the support. It's just what I needed! This is the best purchase I have made in years!
