It’s a nice, heavy ceramic and big enough to feed a small crowd. I’ve only hand washed this baby, but I imagine she would hold up in a dishwasher, too. I love it!

It’s versatile as a decorative plate and can be used to bake dishes in the oven. The piece arrived in a very nicely designed box, and I'm impressed with the quality of the ceramic and glaze. When I opened up the box, I was surprised at the size and weight of the plate as it is hefty. Although it is glass, it is not fragile by any means. I love that I don't have to be super careful with how it's handled. The size is exactly the shape of the state of Alabama. Although I don't live in Alabama myself, I think this would be a great dish to have for parties and social gatherings. The amount of food it can hold is nothing to laugh at and is very easy to clean as it is dishwasher safe!

This is a very nice plate that is in the shape of a state. Also, it is big. If you have a unusual shaped state, you will need to plan accordingly regarding storage.

This is such a nice dish that can used for different purposes, I personally use it as a food plate and this time around I turned it into a charcuterie dish. It’s sealed with glossy white glaze for a non-stick surface. You can microwave and oven safe, dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning Which is makes everything perfect and what I love most. This Virginia state plate is special to us because it’s the first state that we’ve been to.

The plate is a little smaller than I expected so it can only really accommodate a small charcuterie plate or smaller plated dish. I’m interested to see what I can get to fit into the skinnier parts. The plate is dishwasher safe but might be a little awkward due to the shape.
