Nice But Didn't Last

I purchased these tires for my Tahoe in 2016 because they came highly recommended. I've really liked their performance over these years with the gentle driving I do, mostly city -short distance to work, errands, and one trip to Colorado. However, I've only driven 38,000 miles thus far and am being told I need to replace due to tread wear. I understand the recommended replacement time period, but it seems the tread should have lasted longer than this. Am I missing something?

Greastest Tire Ever

I have 2005 Colorado pickup and I bought the LTX MS tires for it. I thought I was going to have to bury the truck with these tires on it. They lasted for 110000 miles and look good when I replaced them. Of coarse I replaced them with LTX MS tire and when ask why I bought Michelins again I responded by telling them (didn't you hear me I had 110000 miles. Yes they cost a little more but I could buy 1 set of LTX instead of 2 sets of another brand. In fact the old set is still being use on a Farm trailer. and still look good.

Great mileage!

My previous set of tires were Michelin. They were rated for 70,000 miles and I got 90,000 miles out of them. I only replaced them because I was driving and pulling a trailer from Milwaukee to Detroit, and winter is coming. I probably had another 10,000+ miles on them.

2 sets of LTX M/S

The LTX M/S tires are standard equipment on my 2005 GMC Envoy Denali 2WD. I am preparing to get my third set of tires for this vehicle, yet I only have 76k miles on the vehicle, which means I only get 34k miles out of these tires per set. My complaint is the tires seem soft, and I do not get the expected mileage out of these tires. I am trying to get a set of Michelin LTX AT2's but they are on a long back order. I have the LTX AT2s on both a 2009 Chevy Silverado 3/4 ton 4x4, and also on a 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer 2WD. I get fabulous tire wear on these vehicles.

Motoring on Michelin Since 1960

We have been in business since 1933 and have used Michelin tires on our business vehicle since 1960 as well as a our personal vehicles. They have always exceeded our expectations regarding longevity, superior quality and excellent ride. Riding down the highway, little or no "tire noise". We carry a large amount of weight hauling our product. Michelin tires handle well with the load while still providing a smooth ride and safe braking.

I drive with confidence

I replaced the tires on my Roadtrek 200 Motor home. I couldn't believe the difference in the handling, how it held the road. They made the ride much smoother with less rattle in the vehicle. I own 5 vehicles and in the future will use Michelin on all of them. I can drive with confidence!

On my last set of MS ...

On my last set of MS tires I did have one tire that seemed to growl when it was on the right front where I guess I could hear it better. Thinking the noice was a wheel bearing, I had asked the service technician to check the bearing but he said it was the tire.

I have a class-C RV, and ...

I have a class-C RV, and have my 2nd set of Michelins on. The first set were 5 years old and the only sign of wear was due to a slight front end alignment. The rear showed no visible wear at all with 50M miles. However it was time to replace. The spare had never been off. I check pressure on all tires including the spare when we go for our monthly outing.

I purchased these tires, ...

I purchased these tires, because of their long tire life, being quiet while driving on the freeway, and the brand name standing behind them. As for the tire life, I have driven, on the freeway mostly, 55K miles and still have tread left (not hitting the wear marks yet). Traveling daily on the freeway, tire noise becomes an issue with me. I enjoy listening to some good tunes on the radio and not having to listen to my tires howling. These tires don't make tire noise, so they won't interupt the music at all. Finally, Michelin tires stand behind their tires. I've owned many trucks and sport cars in my life without having any issues with the tires that I have purchased. Michelin tires have given me peace of mind even with my family in my car or truck. Yes, these tires are that good!!!

Michelin LTX MS original and Michelin Defender LTX M/S

I had the original Michelin LTX MS and now have about 500 miles on the new Defender LTX MS. I think Michelin really got it right with the whole design of this tire. The original LTX is a great beloved tire. It provides good all season traction, a smooth quiet ride and decent tread life. I see the difference to the LTX MS2 and the Defender LTX I am driving is mostly in the outer shoulder block tread design. Its not open so water and slush can evacuate more easily. I like this idea. So far I love the new Defender. My only advice to Michelin and keep a decent tread depth on your tires. For an SUV or truck 11/32 should be the minimum.
