[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely loved Downy! It's the only fabric softener I will use. The fresh fragrance stays in the clothes as you wear them. We have a lot of sensitivities with laundry detergent and this hasn't bothered anyone! I made sure I added this when I washed all our bedding too, to keep that fresh scent. My husband, three kids and I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Long long ago, I had a Downy ball and I'd use fabric softner. I think what changed for me, is that I went to college. And when you're broke? You spend your money on the detergent and dryer sheets. You don't think about buying the softner or any of the middle step stuff. Even if it was as simple as dropping the ball into the washer. So many years later in my professional life, it still wasn't a thought of mine. Sure, I wasn't a college kid anymore. Sure, I had the money for it. But if I wasn't using it for the longest time, why should I go back? My clothes feel fine, they smell decent after washing them? Its just unnecessary... ...I WAS WRONG! I love to shop at Goodwill and other thrift stores. And sometimes, there are things that just as much as you clean them, they just don't feel or smell right. Enter in the cutest elephant that you'd ever seen. He was well loved, and his blue stuffed corduroy body was well loved and appreciated. He still was fluffy, but there was something about him that wasn't quite right. Something didn't smell fresh after three trips through the laundry. And if I'm going to treasure this guy as much as the person before me? I want to make sure that I'm not smelling their funk. So I waved goodbye to my blue friend and set him gently in the washer holding onto a Downy ball filled with the April Fresh product. 30 minutes and a dryer cycle later? My little buddy was fresher than fresh! I used it later that week with my gym clothes. I'm used to my gym clothes being funky because I'll live out of a suitcase with some Febreeze as my only cure. Now? I want to see if I can convince the TSA that a Downy Ball filled with softner is an acceptable 2 oz carry on. Thank you Downy! You've made my blue friend brighter smelling and kept my wife happy with my gym clothes!

With Downy I get exactly what I need and expect in a fabric enhancer, great gentle scent and gentle on the skin all while leaving our clothes feeling soft. An added benefit is with using this product your clothes are getting conditioned in the wash and less likely to stretch out. It is easy to use and a little bit really does go a long way. My family is satisfied with Downy's performance.

I've been using this product for a long time and it is definitely a must have! My clothes feel super soft and smell awesome! I've never had any issue using this in my HE washer, either. Did I mention how affordable this stuff is? There's nothing I love more than that first whiff of April freshness when I crawl into bed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My laundry smelled really good while the washer was running, but I am not sure I am totally sold on the product. I wanted to try this product because at this time of year my clothes smell like sweat and deodorant by the end of the day and sometimes that smell is nearly impossible to totally remove so I was hoping this product could cover the smell. I was a little concerned that "April Fresh" would have some kind of pollen or something in it that would cause allergic reactions, but it seems the smell is created by more of a synthetic process. It smells incredible while the washer is running. The reason I am not sold on this product, however, is that my clothes came out of the wash feeling more worn out. I'm not sure if it is just the feel this product gives the clothes or if it really is hard on the clothing, but that makes me nervous. I'd rather keep using fabric deodorizer to fight the smells than have to buy new clothes more often. As time goes on I suppose I will find out whether this is really deteriorating the fabrics or if this is normal. I also noticed that the smell while the washer is running doesn't seem to really stick around very long once the clothes are removed from the wash, so I am not sure this will even perform that well. Overall, I do think this product was worth a try, but I am not sure whether it is something I will purchase again unless my concerns are assuaged by the time this bottle runs out. If you are washing kids clothes and would love a floral-y fresh smelling house on laundry day I think this is a wonderful product because the kids'll grow out of their clothes before they have a chance to wear them out anyway, but if you are washing adult clothes, I'd proceed with caution...but do keep it away from the kids. If it spills it is very sticky but until it dries, cleans up like spilled oil - you want to avoid spills if you can.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the downy April fresh fabric conditioner. My clothes smelled so fresh and clean. In fact the clean smell filled my entire closet with freshness. My clothing was also butter soft to the touch. I would absolutely use this again.

I got a sample bottle of downy fabric softener in the mail complementary from influenster to test and review. I haven't been using fabric softener just regular laundry soap. At first inwasnt sure what to expect. I don't have an area in my washing machine to automatically distribute the downy so I had to watch when it hit the correct cycle. I put in in as instructed and after my clothes dried I was amazed. My clothes were so soft and they smelled heavenly. I will be purchasing more when my bottle runs out. And never doing laundry with out again.

Previously, I did not use any fabric softener regularly because I just wasn't so crazy about any of them. I have to say I have used this April Fresh softener in every load this week and I am loving it! Many of my work shirts have to hang dry, normally leaving them stiff and unscented. No longer! So happy to have fresh, soft shirts and bras!

Omg! can I say I tested this product on my jeans and can you say I feel like im wearing a tshirt. In another words my jeans smell great and super soft. So i would definitely recommend if your looking for softness. Tested Downy fabric softner for free, but all opinions are my own.

It also seemed to reduce the amount of wrinkles in linen clothes. I will definitely keep this in my laundry room at all times!! Great product!
