[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, it’s just not worth the price. The lubrastrip does more harm than good, because most of us use shaving cream. It also didn’t prevent razor burn that much. It got the job done but it’s not my favorite razor.

This razor has been my go-to for as long as I can remember, so I am always on the lookout for buying more cartridges for it so that I don’t run out. I can have sensitive skin especially around my legs and I found that this works better on my skin compared to alternatives.

It gives a very close shave and leaves your legs so silky smooth I'm in heaven with this product. It glides effortlessly across your legs as you shave doesn't nick, tug, or drag. It will now be my go to from now own! Venus Razor is rated number 1 by me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Venus Smooth Original Razor is my favorite razor! With 3 blades it leaves your skin soft and smooth. It’s comfortable and easy to hold. The razor lasts about 4 weeks, and I keep it in the shower. It's safe to use on the underarms, legs and bikini area. No razor burn or irritation. I highly recommend!

So you're thinking of taking the plunge and switching to a venus razor... but you're weighing the options from those catchy TV jingles... "I'm your venus I'm your fire" and all that. This is a great razor to start off with! This was my first venus product, and it was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. I've since moved on to other venus products, but I'll still use this one if I can't get ahold of my other venus favorites. If you're not sure about whether to fork out the cash for a fancy schmancy blade razor, start with this one before going for any of the more expensive feature-filled venus razors. They only get better from here compared to other razor brands! I even liked it more than electric shavers. Once I used this razor I have never gone back to any non-venus product. Oh and on the price... the razors last much longer than the ol' disposables, and are interchangeable with pretty much all the other venus razor head types. Plus I find I use less gel (sometimes even just soap). For the comfort and results, I've found it to be well worth the price. Why waste $ on scores of el cheapo razors when you can have a really nice one for about the same price in the long run!

Venus razors are my favorite kind with the disposable blade. To be honest, I only use them on my legs because I feel like I cannot get a close shave on my underarms with them. I really like how wide and flat against my skin the blade part is. Also, mine came with a little plastic storage thing and that was a great bonus.

My first razors were disposable and constantly gave me rashes on my legs. After that I tried a Schick, which was an improvement. Finally I stumbled upon the original Venus by Gillette. I have tried both the Divine and Embrace with only average results. The Embrace claims to be a much closer shave, but doesn't feel too much different and the handle is flimsy and breaks easily. My original Venus has lasted me for six years and recently the little button to pop off the old blade and change the cartridge broke, so I am off to the store for a new Venus! The new handle design with the finger rest is a great addition, making shaving even easier. The handles are super durable and last for years. I always get a close shave and the blades stay sharp for a long time. I rarely have any issues with skin irritation and definitely recommend this razor if you're looking for a new one!
