Little is more disappointing than these dates. It is a box fully of mushy fruit. At the pit is black and slimy. Save your money on this one and buy elsewhere.

We love Medjool dates whether eating them by themselves, smothered in a nut butter, or a part of a dessert that we want a delicious, sweet caramelicious flavor. Those these are delicious. They are not the best of options, but they are the most affordable options. Unfortunately, half or more of every container are more hard and dried out than these states should typically be. If you’re planning to eat these dates by themselves, mostly we suggest you buy them somewhere else. If your plan is to cook with them or bake treats with them, then these are the dates for you!

We first ate Medjool Dates while living in Jerusalem Israel, receiving dinner at a festive musical event near En Gedi. They were grown fresh locally, full of flavor, and easy to find everywhere, Back in the states, they were also available, but grown out west, locally. We ordered a few pounds and were pleasantly surprised that they tasted as good and had that certain, distinct texture. We just recently discovered them at Sam’s, priced right in their 2 lb containers, Whole with Pits, Organic, and grown out in the west. They are naturally processed to give them a long shelf life at cool RT, and even longer if refrigerated. I’ve never found one with mold on their skins, and it’s highly unlikely mold would ever grow in their interiors. If I ever do find a bad date, I’m certain Sam’s would offer a refund or an exchange, or both. My advice is try them for the treat that they are and enjoy the nutrition they provide!

I have been buying dates from Sams forever. Now Sams has discontinued the old product and replaced with Same but marked ORGANIC. The more expensive ORGANIC dates is stale, leathery and dry. I will be returning it. Please bring back the old non-organic Dates back.

I always enjoy eating dates and this brand is very good. The dates are soft and chew!
