GE 5,000 BTU Mechanical Window Air Conditioner for Small Rooms, White

It is running as expected. Considering it is cooling approximately 2000 cu ft of R13 insulated space, that's all I can say.

Works great. Very cold. Sometimes even a little too cold. The kids turn it off at night compared to others we have to run all night

Great for a medium sized room

Overall a nice little unit. The only downside that I noticed was the main power switch felt
kind of like it was going to twist off in your hand.

El Cheapo II

I recently purchased a small room A/C unit and I love it.  It is a GE 5000 BTU and is exactly what I wanted.  I highly recommend this this appliance.

I bought this for my bedroom because my central air unit was out. Keeps my room very cool. Easy to set up and easy to use controls.

That lasted 8 yrs

Great product!!

Not impressed at all. Brand new, right out of the box, we discovered that the unit was incorrectly functioning and only blew warm air. Very disappointing as we now have to return and ultimately decide if we want to take our chances and have them repurchase, or we go with a different brand/retailer altogether.

Malfunctioning

Had to replace central air which would take away our a/c for a day.  Put this small unit in bedroom window as a refuge when we lost the use of the main a/c and it works great. We are keeping it in place to provide a cool boost. The price was right and the unit produced such good cold air had to turn it down, also had the seal of approval from the dogs.   Was fairly easy to install in a side sliding window (all instructions are for vertical and we have horizontal windows) May even buy another unit and put in my office for the summer.   Also very easy order on line and pick up in store next day.  Good product good service.
