Duracell battery had a warranted cell failure

I overlooked the warranty date expecting a purchase of a new battery. Thanks to the servicing staff I was made aware of the warranty and quickly provided a replacement. How surprised and pleased I was. That was an excellent example of earning my future business.

Great product, Great price!

I always shop around when I need something. Not only was this product the best price, but it had over 100 cc amps over all other batteries. It came fully charged, and fit just like the original battery. Looks good, works Great, and with the name "Duracell", you just can't go wrong. Thanks Sam's Club! Robert P.

Exceptional longevity (7 years). Great value!

Purchased a Duracell battery for my 2007 Hyundai SantaFe Limited in summer of 2015. It lasted 7 years through June 2022 without a single problem. The majority of my travel is high mileage driving which helps maintain a charge but 7 years of life on a 3-year warranted battery is exceptional. I purchased another Duracell to replace it. In addition to very good pricing, Sam's Club provided free installation. Photo is the newly installed battery.

Not a long life

First Duracell lasted two years. Took it back to Sams and they exchanged with no problem. Next battery lasted 2 ½ years. Warranty is based on the original battery, so I had to buy a new battery. I was kind of stuck at that point and went ahead and bought it. Yes, yes, I know all about the Florida heat and how hard it's on battery's. 2 1/2 years still sounds like a short live span. I don’t think I would buy this battery next time. Or, at least would shop around.

Be prepared to replace it earlier than 3 years

Similar to others, my battery lasted 2 years and 7 months. Drove to pickup some fast food, parked, got my food, came out to my car and it wouldn't start. Super inconvenient. I'm going with a better battery like Interstate or Duralast. These are no good.

Shortest Battery Life Ever

I thought this was going to be a true "Best Buy". A fantastic brand label sold by an organization known for very high quality products at very competitive prices. Loved the generously long warranty, especially since most of the auto parts stores only have one in this size to choose from, and most of those are "18-month cheapies." And I gave this battery every fair shot possible - have purchased two, and got two free on warranty replacements. But after going through four batteries in 5 1/2 years, enough is enough. For those wondering, yes, EVERY TIME I had my charging system checked. They were surprised that every test they ran on it (including just a couple of days ago) checked out as close to perfect as any vehicle of this age they had ever seen. After going through fourteen other things, the last thing checked was the battery. Every time it was a bad cell. There are also those who claim the issue might be old stock. Two batteries ago, the Sam's Club technician even bypassed the ones on his shelf and grabbed a battery that had just come in a warehouse shipment. The date on that one (and on this most recent one) confirmed that they were anything but dated. It didn't matter - the 3rd one only lasted fourteen months and this 4th and last one barely lasted a year. No - this is just plain a bad battery. I don't know if battery ingredients have now been over-recycled and this is what you can expect. I was also warned that Florida heat does shorten the life of batteries, but even then, I could expect twice the life I was given. Even if the warranty means you will (always) get two batteries for the price of one, it just isn't worth the continued aggravation of wondering when and where your battery will die next (every time out of nowhere). I have changed brands now and fully expect a better life expectancy - FAR better.
