I use this drill every day for work as a home inspector. It holds up very well and one charge lasts all week. The forward/reverse lever is in a much better position than on any other small drill/driver I have ever used. I'm not hitting it by accident. It's very comfortable to grip. Plenty of power to loosen screws on electrical panels and tighten screws where needed. More importantly -- SKIL stands by this tool. I had one that stopped charging due to a bad USB port. They just quickly shipped me another one! No hassles or hoops to jump through.

Excellent driver, plenty of torque for assembling furniture, and other household and work tasks, hands down the best forward/ reverse controls and ergonomics of any driver I've tried. One of the cheapest on the market but the best except for one issue and the reason for the 3 stars. The charging port welds broke in less than a year. I opened it up and soldered it back but it wouldn't charge. I removed the battery and have been using it in an FW3A flashlight since so its not the battery. I'm on my second one because it's so affordable I couldn't resist so I'll see how long this one lasts.

As a pistol type of driver, it worked well. As a straight driver I found the trigger position awkward. I also found that the screw direction switch pointed opposite to the drive direction. At times this caused a slowdown in production as a screw would either drive or reverse at the wrong moment. I also own an older Skil driver and all you had to do to drive and change directions was press the toggle switch the appropriate direction. I prefer this feature over the pistol trigger and separate direction switch.

Seems like a nice little unit for your average around the house use. It is, of coarse, not heavy duty; but is was never designed to be. It is lightweight and ergonomically comfortable in the hand. I do have some concerns regarding the durability of the "bit holder" part of the screwdriver, as it seems to sometimes hold on to a bit after sue. Kind of like the bit may have slightly twisted in the socket a smidge. The assortment of various bits is nice as our world becomes more and more filled with all different types of connectors and such. It comes in a nice case to keep things together and overall is a nice set.

This is a nice kit with plenty of bits and a good carrying box. It's got a good amount of torque to it too. I haven't used it enough to talk about battery life. My only complaint is only being one speed. My last one had high and low and I really miss this feature.

Ergonomically, this device is very well designed and fits comfortably in the hand. The option of converting to a straight configuration is handy when dealing with odd locations. All that remains to be evaluated is battery life. I haven't had it long enough to offer any meaningful opinion regarding battery life during non-use time.

My Skil 4V screwdriver is the perfect tool it isn't too big like some rechargable screwdrivers it is easy to handle and you can switch from forward to reverse with one hand. I love my Skil it is a great addition toy toolbox. I would recommend this tool to anyone looking for a rechargable screwdriver

For the remarkable price I was not expecting much. But this thing rocks and I’m impressed! Very comfortable sitting in the hand and plenty of power and runtime for its size. I look forward to using it each time. Thanks Skil! If I lose it I would gladly buy another to replace it.

Nice torque for a light duty / small drill. Plug in the wall charging easy and quick. Fair and reasonable price. Easy to get in tight work places. Not bulky / heavy like the big 18V -24V . Keep it in your kitchen junk drawer for those days your to lazy to walk to the garage for your Heavy duty Milwaukee.
