I have the larger 12v Skil impact driver in my larger tool bag (another outstanding Skil tool, especially with the bright ring light) but I use this power screwdriver in my smaller, over the shoulder tool pouch. It's light-weight and has enough power to do a lot of the appliance fixes on the more basic repair jobs I do. I've been very impressed with Skil's new tool line the last few years and this one is no exception. The ability to change from pistol mode to screwdriver mode is very convenient. The pistol mode for a stronger grip and the screwdriver mode for tight spaces and fitting in a tool bag without taking up much space.The only issue I can think of is very small. The switch to change the direction of rotation seems backwards when it's in pistol mode and the switch is on top (clockwise rotation = switch left). Where as when it's twisted into screwdriver mode, the switch is then underneath and it makes sense (clockwise rotation = switch to right). Not at all a big issue but still forget sometimes and turn it on in the wrong direction. I don't think you can go wrong with this screwdriver, I'm very happy with it!

It's a really nice little screwdriver. I have to replace a bunch of outlets in our house and got this to speed things up. It's working perfectly. My one complaint keeping it from a 5 would be the microUSB port. Those are pretty terrible long term and I would prefer a more robust port for charging it. But, if you fill out the registration, it bumps it to a 5 year warranty, so if soemthing does happen, I could get a replacement.

I am happy with the drill overall. It has more power than I expected and is very versatile. There are two things wrong with it however. 1. The magnet came out of the bit extension shortly after I began using the drill. Unfortunately, in a senior moment, I mistakenly placed the magnet in the main drill with Krazy glue, instead of the extension. In any case, if you can send me a replacement magnet for the bit extender I would really appreciate it. I cannot use the bit extender without the magnet as the bits keep falling out. 2. The second problem is that the switch was installed backwards. Forward, (in), is to the left and backward, (out), is to the right. This is counter intuitive and contrary to the instructions.

After using it a few times, I found I should have opted for a model with a rotation speed feature. Its quite " torquey " and care must be exercised. I chose this low cost model as when the batteries fail, your unable in most cases to replace them...as I've previously experienced...

I'm liking this little screwdriver a lot. It's surprisingly powerful and feels great in the hand. Its small size lets you use it in tight quarters and the bits that it comes with are the right ones for most jobs. It has a faster RPM than its 3.6 volt cousin I've been using to this point, which is both good and bad. Because of its power and the fact that it doesn't have a clutch, it's easy to over drive small screws, but I'm getting used to it. The fitted case is nicely laid out, but I wish that SKIL had included some slots for four or five small drill bits. That would have really rounded out this capable little tool kit. Overall, I'd recommend this to any DIYer who wants to save time and effort when dealing with small to medium screwdriving jobs.

I ordered this little item after watching an artist on YouTube who was using it to attach framing hardware to her cradled board. She mentioned this drill exactly and so I read some reviews and ordered it. I couldn’t be happier with this-perhaps the best tool I’ve purchased ever! It is thoughtfully & functionally designed.

I like the location of the reversing switch over previous models in that it helps prevent accidental engagement. Was disappointed that this model didn't come with a charging station. You need to plug the cord into the handle and then into your own charger which isn't as convenient as other models that had a separate charging station.

I purchased this to replace an old Craftsman screwdriver/rotary driller, which after 20 years had failed to recharge. The 4 Craftsman drill bits' hex shafts were smaller than the SKIL's hex chuck, but I wrapped the base of each drill bit with thin tape. Now I can use the SKIL tool for drilling four sizes of holes, and the 4V provides enough torque to drill in wood. The magnetic chuck is great with the screwdriver bits. I really like this SKIL tool.

This unit is a must if you’re an electrician like how I use it. It last all day and then some while using it with the help of barrel wire stripping along using it with # 2 Phillips head and #1 square drive. The only thing I have found which could be improved is the light could be angled upwards more towards where the driver bits are.

I received the 4V screwdriver as a Christmas gift. I thought it might be a nice little tool for minor tasks around the house. I never imagined the amount of torque that this tool delivers. I’ve already used it numerous times and it hasn’t let me down. Much easier than running to the garage for my drill/driver. Highly recommend this 4V driver.
