It’s bold and masculine without being overpowering. It has kind of a classic barbershop vibe with a darker, woodsy twist. The fragrance can be used for fall or winter and has notes of citrus and lavender in the opening and settles to herbs and and spicy notes. The matte bottle adds to the masculine part and overall, Drakkar Noir is a great fragrance for the winter.

He might be more suitable for older men because it gives a more sophisticated feel to it. At the same time it might be more suitable for dinner parties because it gives a serious feel.

I wore it for years afterward and despite having an extensive collection of colognes, I regularly come back to it. The versatile and classic scent reminds me of a quality barbershop with strong floral and citrus notes anchored by masculine oak moss and pine woody notes. Strength and projection are what I’d classify as moderate- it will be noticed but not over intoxicating (as long as you don’t bathe in it). With an exceptionally reasonable price I can’t think of any reason not to add this scent to your collection so you too can keep coming back to it.
