The instructions are easy to understand, and it's notable for being effective in detecting infants as young as 5-months old for these viral infections. It's OTC and simple, without needing to download apps or anything. The biggest limitation is that like all antigen tests, if you test too early, it may be less sensitive to the infection and could give a false result.

I hate how pricey it is to go to the dr so I tend to prefer a lot of self-problem-solving before I commit that kind of money. So I jumped at doing the test right away!! The instructions a very detailed and thorough with pictures. Which was helpful for my adhd poor-instruction-following self. My results came back as all negative, which either means false negative, or something bacterial. Which considering the throbbing ear pain, makes sense. The ear pain was actually my first symptom and started early yesterday morning, but I just assumed it was a cystic zit or something like that, since I haven’t had an ear infection in over 20 years, and I do still get zits. But now the other ear is randomly throwing small twinges here and there. So based off my test I was able to take today, and my weird ear issues, I’m thinking I might just need to go to the doctor after all and possibly get on some antibiotics to get this yuck under control.

For the sake of the review I am not opening the package since currently no one is sick. Once it’s opened the items are no longer sterile and won’t be able to be used. This includes a swab, the test panel, a place to put the solution and a cover for it. It’s all labeled well and the directions include all the specifics. I’ve used this brand before for covid and flu tests, it’s been reliable and easy to use. I really appreciate that they’ve included RSV because during sick season — a runny nose/cold could actually be something more serious. It’s nice to test and get answers, that way we can help prevent the spread of germs to others.
