It reminds me of the dead fish that washed up on shore when I was on my trip to Alaska. It is not appetizing at all the color is a off-white. It is chunky and gelatinous the skin is thick black and not at all appealing. The price is cheaper than most but actually that was the only product they had what I was shopping when was it

My order arrived to my home early and we were not there. The salmon sat on our porch for several hours in 90 plus degree weather. Since we were expecting shipping two days later, this presented a problem. Now, we are afraid to eat the salmon. We opened a can, and the smell that came out of the very warm can was unpleasant and over powering. I will not order canned fish again to be shipped.

I was thinking this would be like tuna - a chunk of meat in oil or water. It was very small shreds of salmon, hardly any piece over 1/2" long, and hunks of skin, lots of small bones, and these round white things that I found out were vertebrae. I remember having salmon patties once as a kid but not getting crunchy vertebrae in it - that's a big no for me, even though I actually bought this to get some pills down my cat with. Giving away the other three cans, I can't even look at it. Just know what you're getting if you order this - I'm sure for others who've experienced it in their life it's a great product but I just can't...
