[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this is well built and relatively water tight container. It works great for mandorine oranges, and fits a sandwich if you cut it in half and stack it. Its a little hard to close and for some kids they wont ever close it after they use, which could cause a dirty lunch box. But a huge plus is this. IT has been great for me as a low carb container. Fits several boiled eggs, cheese, meets, and cut up vegitables. My wife and i are likely to buy more, but for us.

I will be honest, I purchased this bag without much research and thought because of the name brand and I'm a little upset I did. The quality is awesome, there is no question about that but I am regretting (very much) purchasing a backpack with the lunchbag attached on the bottom for a couple of reasons: 1. The bottom takes up room inside the main portion of the bag. My daughter brings home a folder every day (typical size) and you have to push it back behind the zipper for it to sit nicely. It has come home bent a couple of times simply because I have a Kindergartner and she just puts it in (duh) and I don't expect her to have to push back her folder into the backpack--no one should. So, I'm disliking the tight fit of normal-sized items. 2. They obviously don't take their entire backpack to lunch, so she is just carrying the Bentgo lunch container. However, there is no room in the container to have utensils or obviously a drink. That being said, she would have to carry 3 items with her which may not sound difficult, but for a 6 year old it's cumbersome. In hindsight, I should have purchased the single backpack with a separate lunch bag so I would have more room in the pack and so she would be able to carry her drink and utensils in one swoop. As mentioned, GREAT quality, but I regret purchasing this backpack but will have to make due this school year sadly.

The product is good for elementary school (age 5-8). It would be a bit small for older children. The ice pack stays cold enough for school and is a nice alternative than a separate ice back. We had an issue with the clasp popping open so we would use a rubber band when we sent the lunchbox to school. However, customer service is excellent (5 stars for customer service).

We got this box to replace a bentgo brights, which was handed down to the next daycare child. This box went to K+1 with my older child. The cold pack is nice to keep the whole thing slim. I still send it in a lunch bag because while it's great at not leaking, kids aren't always great at properly closing-- despite them being very fully capable of operating the clasp. Kids 🤯 I top rack dishwasher the inner tray, it's held up great. The silicone lids of both my bentgo boxes (and the hinges of this one) developed mildew that stained. This isn't covered under warranty, but customer service is sending me new boxes anyway, and passed along the following tips for prevention: - Wash with White distilled Vinegar regularly - Cling wrap or other plastic over the lid interior - Completely drying after each cleaning I suspect the drying rack situation in my new house (rack sitting in sink instead of on counter) may have caused this issue, so I'll be taking care to wipe the kids dry or leave them sitting out separately to assure more rapid drying.

Bought this for my daughter who is in Kindergarten and she has used it every day since the beginning of September and its already ripped on the inside. The seams have all come undone and the folder pocket does not hold a regular size folder as its to small. I was really hoping this was going to hold up as the cooler in the bottom is amazing but the quality just isn't there. Disappointed I'll have to buy her a new backpack before is over!!!

I bought this for my new preschooler and love it so far. It's easy to clean and use, and provides just the right amount of storage for my daughter's lunch. I bought this one because of the ice pack which is helpful to keep her lunch cold. Highly recommend!

I love our bentgo chill box! We get compliments everywhere we take it! I love the integrated ice pack, we don’t like carrying a lunch box so this makes traveling so much easier. No leaks! We have lots of soups for dinner and they do just find in the box and compartment. I recommend 10/10!

I’m the director of an outdoor preschool and this is the backpack we recommend to new families. They need a backpack that is roomy enough for their clothing layers and has enough pockets to stay organized with small items like mittens. Good zipper pulls for gloved and mittened hands also. The chest strap makes a big difference to distribute the weight—the kids who have chest straps are more successful at carrying their backpacks independently. The bento box compartment is a great feature. Overall quality construction and thoughtful design.

I loved it until I couldn’t use anymore due to the ice pack not fitting. I got maybe four months out of it. One day, I just couldn’t fasten it. The ice pack seemed warped. I expected to get to the end of the school year, not have to purchase a new lunch box.

We have used this bentgo chill lunch box off and on for my daughter’s school lunches, but noticed that recently the hinges on the lunch box had broken. Sadly, we weren’t able to use it anymore. Hoping to be able to replace with the warranty offered from bentgo.
