I have the 480D however this review applies to this model too. I love my little blender! We drive a big rig and I use it every morning to make my smoothie. My unit blends perfectly every time! However, Ninja you have what I think is a design flaw. The threads for the blender blade and lid are on the inside of the container, when they should be on the outside of the container. I constantly get food debris in the threads where they get trapped and I have to clean out the threads while the smoothie is in the container so that I can get the drinking lid on. Then later it’s difficult to clean out the container due to part of the drink being left in the threads. I can’t always rinse it out right away, remember we’re traveling down the road, so when I try to clean the unit the lid is practically glued to the inside of the container — sometimes it takes me many minutes to get the lid off, or I have to have someone help me to get it off to wash. Ninja — please fix this issue!

I have owned this blender for 5+ years and use it 2-3 times per day to make perfectly blended protein shakes, coffee drinks, and green smoothies. I've occasionally used it to blend / smooth out creamy soups. The size and performance are on the money.

I was apprehensive spending the money on yet another smoothie maker. I’ve returned all the others I got before this one. It makes perfect smoothies of all kinds. I didn’t find it loud like some people do; it makes a loud noise since it is a blender but it’s not at all as noisy as any other. The smoothie timer makes a perfect, consistent texture. No need to pulse extra time. The 32 oz cup is large enough to make a very satisfying serving and it’s easy to handle. It’s a bit tall for my straw but the top has a generous opening for getting the last bit without the straw. All pros, no cons. Got it on sale for $10 off but still worth it at full price.

My first Ninja (professional 900 watts) I bought about 8 years ago, and I loved it, but it died. I used it every single day (sometimes twice) so I was satisfied with how long it lasted. This blender is even better than the one I had, WOW! It's a little louder than the last one but who cares, it's a powerhouse. Thanks for the great products!

In the past two years I have purchased two of these blenders. The first blender this past December disintegrated the motor and cooling fan and threw plastic shards everywhere. The second blender I purchased this past February and now the blades are leaking when I blend anything with a liquid. The second blender also is starting to sound like the motor is coming apart like the first blender. That said I will not give the blender or Ninja another chance.

She loves it's blending qualities and I love that she doesn't have to take out the giant blender twice a day. The containers are easy to clean and everything looks and works well. Recommend!

I have been using a larger blender to make my smoothies but this personal blender size is perfect for me! It makes just the right amount so I'm not wasting ingredients. Highly recommend!

It has good power to crush ice plus all the other ingredients for smoothies and works well to blend sauces and soups. I would highly recommend this blender.

I've tested many of these "personal blenders" "Bullets" and this one is by far the most powerful and best quality. The cups are the right size for smoothies, and the motor is fast and has enough power to blend frozen fruit or vegetables. The cups are smoothly molded and the lids are perfect to insert a straw and sip your smoothie. Right out of the box, washed it up and made a strawberry-protein smoothie and it was absolutely perfect. I like how the controls are angled on the top for easy reading and access.

You can use it to make single smoothies and just replace the blade with the travel lid and just start enjoying your drink or leave the house with it. I love the fact that it brings 2 cups, you can either make for two or more persons or just make 2 for you and save one for later or just make one and put the cup and lid in the dishwasher and use the second one for the next one. The IQ preset program is wonderful. It takes the guess work out of making anything on the blender. It is very simple and easy to use. It has a very powerful motor. All parts, except for the motor, of course, are dishwasher safe and are very easy to clean if you prefer to do it by hand. This is a blender than can be used practically for everything. I got mine right before 5 de Mayo and made delicious margaritas for 5 de Mayo celebration. The margaritas and, especially, the perfection and ease of use were the discussion of the dinner. This is a wonderful blender and one that i will use for a long time.
