Perfect Cabinet

I knew in the beginning this is what I needed but I regrettably tried a few other cheaper options first. What a waist! This cabinet is perfect and worth the money! I attached a small piece of Velcro inside for the remote. Love it!

A good product for the intended application.

So far this is working as advertised. No leakage. Easy to put together. Maybe a little expensive, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Very satisfied. I put this up outside on my deck against vinyl siding. Once you find your studs behind the vinyl it was smooth sailing. Just make sure you calk the holes (4 for the shell and 4 for the bracket).

Storm shell / the only outdoor tv solution

Great addition to our outdoor living space. Easy installation and setup. Keeps the tv protected from the elements. Adding the fan just ups the protection.

Happy repeat customer.

I have put up several Storm Shells over the years. Recently we added a new pool bath to our home in Florida and added a 55" Storm Shell to protect our outdoor TV. I have to say that it this is the best, most cost effective way to protect our investment. I assembled the unit and installed it onto a concrete block wall in about 1 hour. The Storm Shell has a built in exhaust fan to reduce the heat and humidity. I would highly recommend Storm Shell. It's a great, well designed product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] s Seems very sturdy and easy to use. Time will tell if it protects the tv from all the elements of being outside, but I can't imagine it wouldn't. The cover also allows for a regular tv to be used outdoors, which saves a significant amount of money, as outdoor televisions are over 1k!

Great product with one minor flaw

I am very happy with the Storm Shell and its very close to a 5 star product for me. I have 1 issue that I ended up having to make a modification to fix and that is the wire access is only available at the bottom of the enclosure. We mounted the TV on the house under a soffit and all of the cables come from above and had to drill 2 holes and use some adapters and silicone to make it watertight. It would be nice if there was a way to make cable access at the top or if they raised one of the ridges on the back panel enough where the wires could be run behind the enclosure and in through the bottom. Other then that, we are very happy with it. We ended purchasing the fan accessory and a cooling thermostat controller to keep the TV cool.

Hard to assemble, needs better tv wall mount

The product does what it is mean to do, BUT the tv wall mount that comes with this is poorly designed and not mean to securely hold the tv. Recommending getting another tv wall mount to use (HIGHLY recommend the Member's Mark Full Motion Extended TV Wall Mount with Articulating Dual Swivel Arms for 32"-90" TVs-very secure and ease to use in place of the one that comes with the shell). The screws to put together strip quickly, so prepare to have a spare box of screws that you know will work. The instructions are not clear, watch assembly videos to help fill in the gaps. May require someone who is handy and can adapt to figure instructions out.

So Cheaply Made

This shell does cover the tv but when I say cheaply made and not worth the money, I mean the plastic is weak and bent, the screw heads twist off with just hand pressure, it's way to expensive for what junk it is. Oh and when it falls apart, don't waste your time with the maufacture customer service....gave them 3 chances to send repalcment parts and they failed. Mine is getting returned to Sam's Club.

Overall pretty good quality, but some design flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This does the job of protecting the tv I bought for my back deck, though I installed it under a bit of an overhang so it’s not fully exposed to the elements. I believe it would be fine completely unprotected, it’s good quality hard plastic and the clasps keep it nice and tight. It’s much cheaper than getting an expensive outdoor tv. However, there were a couple things that posed an issue and I had to make some adjustments. First off, the C4 screws are supposed to word for both wood studs and concrete/brick. Probably fine for wood, but they certainly DO NOT work for masonry. I had to go buy some tapcon screws to mount the back of the shell. Also, the concrete sleeves that are provided are way too long for normal brick. Drilling a hole to sink these would almost certain split the brick since you’d have to drill through pretty much the whole width of the brick. Again I used tapcon screws here that I purchased separately. Lastly, and perhaps the most boneheaded design flaw, is that the pre drilled holes where the mount arm is intended to be installed are IN THE WRONG PLACE. For some reason, they are off center, and even after installing the tv as far to the right as possible, the edge of the tv overlaps the edge of the shell making it impossible to put the cover on. The tv is the correct size (you would need a tiny tv to fit it this way, and it would look really silly). I made sure the arm was the right side up and the tv bracket hooks were installed correctly. To remedy this, I simply drilled new holes through the plastic and installed the arm in the CENTER of the back shell. It makes zero sense that the pre drilled are where they are. I had multiple people look at it to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong, no one could figure out why they were placed off center. So, as long as you’re somewhat handy and can make these adjustments, this is worth the buy.
