I have enjoyed Jim Beam Black for many years and recommended it to many of my friends and associates who enjoy bourbon. It was always advertised on the bottle as having been aged for eight years. Now the "eight year" claim has been removed from the label, and the price has been raised by 20%. A "seven year" product is also on the shelves at the same higher price. Comparable and similar whiskies such as Maker's Mark are still sold for 20% less. You have priced your product significantly above its value and made it uncompetitive with other similar products.

Woo-eee talk about a eye opener! This will knock your britches right off your butt! I'm not much of a whiskey enjoyed enthusiast seeing as everytime I drink any kind of whiskey I'm regretting it the second I take the shot and even more so the next day! Haha would I buy this again?... probably not. But I wouldn't turn away from an offered spirit!

This buron is pretty great in most mixers and its pretty commonly found in most drinks at the bar. I'm usually a vodka person so I wouldn't really keep this on hand at my house but I wouldn't turn it down if I were to get a mixed drink at a bar. Its a really nice warming drink.

I use to drink Jim Beam in my younger days based solely on price. As I have gotten older (and wiser) and don't have to buy on price alone, I rediscovered Jim Beam Black Extra Aged, it is every bit as good and better than some of the higher priced burbon on the shelf. Why plunk down your hard earned money for something less?

I never thought that I would enjoy bourbon straight but here I am. I originally bought JB Black to use for an Old Fashioned (sorry purists, not a big fan of Rye) and was absolutely blown away by how much difference there was between their standard bourbon and this 7 year. After an Old Fashioned, I decided to try it on the rocks, and then neat. There is not a better bourbon on the market for this price, I can tell you that. It's rich, refreshing, simple, yet invites your palate to explore the many smooth notes you're tasting. Even if you're not a connoisseur, I implore you to nose it before you take a sip, it will enhance your experience. Quality bourbon, great price, what more could you ask for? The team at JB really knocked this one out of the park, they've made me a JB Black customer for life. Cheers.

I have always been a Beam fan. It always has the perfect balance to drink straight or use in a cocktail (Beam and ginger please). This new Black 7 yr is amazing. The extra years in the barrel is definitely noticed. Good job Jim Beam! Keep up the good work and surprise us again with something new soon.

My wife bought me a bottle of Jim Beam Black for Chanukkah last year after I finished the bottle of Old Weller Antique 107 she got me the year before. I was impressed with how smooth the Beam went down and the delicious notes of oak, vanilla and a hint of cinnamon. I've only had it two fingers neat, and I see no need to sully it with ice, water or even Moxie. It's a perfect Bourbon.

I'm a single malt Scotch guy. I generally have two fingers neat with a quality cigar about once a week. On a stressful day, I'll have a couple of beers or so after work before the family gets home. The trouble is the beer gut that comes with that trend. I was looking for something similar to my favorite Scotch, which is a little out of my budget to drink daily. Jim Beam Black is an awesome substitute with the rich white oak aroma and flavor. It isn't near as smooth as my favorite Scotch, but the flavor is on point. Thank you Jim Beam for putting this great whiskey out there at an affordable price. You've got a customer for life!

I have been a Jim Bean Black drinker for years. I drank a black lable spirit from Tn. Until they cut it to 80 proof. Changed the flavor to much. I dont drink it over ice, i dont often mix it, Black gives me the Bourbon flavors i love. Not to much vanilla like some. Oak and smoke!!!
