I bought this pergola last year and requested installation service as well. I am fully satisfied with the way this transaction took place. Pergola itself is pretty great and my friends loved it. I refer them backyard discovery and would like to do business again with them.

We are so surprised at how few boxes arrived for the Pergola. At first we were concerned and immediately opened the boxes to check to ensure it was correct. it was and each part was meticulously labeled. We had read the online reviews for assembling and decided we could tackle on our own. My husband our 25 year old completed the assembly in less than 4 hours. My husband had previously unpacked and laid out all of the pieces and parts, so it was ready to go. The organization took about 2 hours, to include ensuring both drills and batteries were all charged. :-) We are thrilled with the quality of the product! Great value for the price!

I am not one who usually writes reviews for items that I buy. But I want anyone who is thinking about this product to feel assured it will far exceed your expectations. I am thrilled with this pergola. It has added so much to our backyard. countless compliments from everyone who sees it. the quality of the wood and fasteners is top notch. . The ease of assembly is not often found in todays products. I would highly recommend this company for their customer service is very responsive and polite.

Took 2 people about 7 hours to assemble. Very easy to follow instructions on paper came with the unit, but the BILT app was handy for zooming in on a couple areas. Assembled the entire thing inside a 23x14 area space. Will be adding a clear coat to protect the wood so it always keeps its beautiful cedar colour. This really added so much to the yard. Very happy with the purchase. Ordered from the manufacturer and it came in just a few days. Worth the money!

Our home is always changing--inside & out; & every change creates a new "pop":. This time we added a room!! It all started after switching out the last section of old board decking to brick, matching the rest of the existing bricked deck--improving both the look & function of our yard. But, looking out at the expanse of this all brick deck, even with colorful furniture & our usual riot of plants, something was missing. Somehow, we needed to frame that section, a place where we entertain and also shelter a lot of plants. (I'm a gardener). It's Florida; summer sun is merciless on human skin and, more importantly, all of our plants shriveling in our summer heat; they can't hop up and escape into the AC. What we needed was a pretty shelter from direct sun; we needed a pergola! And this baby is a champ. Ordering was easy, the perfect size for our spot, delivery on time; my husband Bill added 2 applications of weather coating, we hired the brick guys to assemble it (we are old :-)). And now we have more than a pergola; it is a ROOM-- partly nestled under our old magnolia, decorated by our happy shaded plants, and furnished by our colorful furniture (I am a painter), the pergola frames it all and creates the perfect space whose form is lovely and which functions to give us what we needed: a solid, sturdy, shade-providing structure. We already have subprojects planned: our copper pelican perches on the top corner; to add even more shade, we are installing lattice panels over the widely spaced roof slats, and we are adding electric outlets for some good old Florida fans, also hanging solar lights to line the top structure. I bought this a month ago and am pretty happy with the product. Instructions were good, but with warped wood for some pieces, the hardware was barely connecting. We found it easier to assemble the frame upside down, and it would have been better to assemble right next to the final location due to the weight.

We took delivery of the 12 x 10 cedar pergola kit in early June. From start to finish, the process has been positive and the end result is the creation of a new peaceful place! Ordering was very simple, delivery arrived a day sooner than expected. The kit came in two boxes. Before assembling, we used a protective sealant. Easy to assemble, quality construction, quality hardware, excellent, easy-to-follow instructions. We added a removable light-filtering tarp on the roof for protection from the mid-day sun, and solar-powered lights on the inside ceiling. We absolutely love the addition to our outdoor space!

I love everything about our new Backyard Discovery Pergola. Ordering was easy, and it was shipped right to my door. Communication with the shipping company was fast and easy. I had intended to install it myself but other things took my time so I hired the company suggested and they were very professional and did a great job. This will infancy our enjoyment of our backyard for years to come.

Printed instructions in combination with the BILD app were well thought out. We suggest that moving the partly-built pergola, setting the feet, moving the pergola off the feet, anchoring the feet, and moving the pergola back on the feet, would be more easily accomplished before the slotted cross-beams are put in place. All in all, this was a worthwhile project, and we're pleased with the look and quality of the pergola.

This is a two person project and was completed in under 8 hours. Everything piece of wood is labeled, including the screws. Instructions are easy to follow and downloadable app with instructions and 3d visuals ensure you move from step to step with confidence and ease! The finished product is beautiful and makes a big statement!!
